just to update everyone on the 900/balloon/tyres they have been made illegal in a few cities. please make sure before you get them installed.
the other problem is siam 900 tyres have been discontinued from the factory. they shut down. so even if you find them at shops they will be priced around 1000dhs now from 450dhs previosly. siam only fit 16inch rims if you have 17inch rims you need to get "malone" brand, these are made by michellin but not as good as the siam tyres. good luck and if you find any shops selling them for a reasonable price let me know i will buy 12 pieces!!!

- Shaheen is what I have on my Isuzu ( http://gulfnews.com/life-style/motoring ... ht-1.25050 ) i havent had a chance to try it out on the sand yet.
But I can warn you about another - and I have 33inch kuhmo's on my jeep (they look cool but SUCK in the sand, cause with the tread it just digs a big hole)

a thing to note here is that this website is not official sumitomo website. One might see it as a local dealer website but sumitomo don't mention shaheen tire on their global website http://www.sumitomotire.comxkennx;13036 wrote:http://www.sumitomotiresuae.com/index.p ... &Itemid=43
This makes shaheen/siam tires really shady...

I have used Shaheen on my patrol and they give u a good flotation ride on the sand.......close to ride of michellin LTX 1. however, on road Shaheen is also good as long as u don't come accross any wet roads. That is when this tyre can be dangerous.
I found it very difficult to get stuck in the sand with Siams. And uphill climb feels compromised.
My 2 cents : ))

I in no way standing up for the manufacture/supplier/tire itself. But there are a number of tire manufacture that produce what we call "black labels" these can be off-brand named (same chemical makeup and qualities as their retailed version) but they are able to offer at a lower cost due to the fact corporation doesn't have to include the inflated marketing cost.FSL;15704 wrote:a thing to note here is that this website is not official sumitomo website. Also major retailers and customers are able to order "specialty tires" - with regards to SAND/SNOW/Offroad which is a tiny tiny part of the market. On our military MRAP I am able to order different softness of rubber that does not change the Load Index or Load Range what so ever. None of this you will ever be able to find on their retail websites.
