Hello Everyone ,
It was beautiful morning cold weather and little fogy , we wait until the fog clear from that area and we start drive at 8:45 AM . @ rashid give briefing of nature of this area as high sharp dunes . @rashidjass was the leader and @Solmaz 2nd lead and @booy, @jock and @mazaaj as sweeper . I think we miss warming up, as we start with very high sharp dunes with side cresting and my heart was beating loudly for more than 10 min. scared and then it comes to normal ( my heart not the drive).
Area was very soft sand and really sharp high dunes we had many second try and some stuck, it was really active morning , we did the drive on time finished at 11 AM.
Thanks to @rashid for organizing this drive and to every one make it happened .
thanks and regards

Morning All!!
This was a great drive, in what is my second favourite area, behind Liwa obviously!!
It was foggy on the way, and at the meeting point, so we had to wait for that to clear before setting off!
There was no warm up, as already mentioned, Rashidjass had Lava back and was keen to get back into the action, so in true Rashidjass style, as soon as the wheels hit the sand he headed for the highest longest sidecrest in sight!!
We played in the usual dunes near the farm, but then began heading to a new area for me, we crossed the power lines and hit another chain which was still quite big but more technical!
Well done to everyone in the convoy, it flowed much much better than recent Inter drives. There were second tries which is to be expected as these dunes and crests are higher and sharper than any others the new Inters had driven before.
Thanks Rashidjass for organising, Booy , Mazaaj and Solmaz & SINGH !!
Till next time,
Jock

Hello everyone,
This was indeed a fantastic drive. For me it's been quite a long time since I have been in Sweihan, so it was very exciting to drive the nice flowing dunes in this area again.
The cool weather in the morning with the fog was a welcome surprise.
Looking forward to sharing more intermediate drives like this with you in the coming weeks.
Regards,
Booy

Hello Everyone,
The drive lived up to its name ‘Chase the Lava’ because wherever the Lava on fire was flowing it was heating up burnt the track and that I could feel even though I was the last car in the convoy just before Booy who was sweeping. It was an adrenaline filled drive that kept everyone on the edge of the seat. The drive was packed with side cresting and demanded the best of our judgment skills in terms of momentum, control and car angle killzonesmiley . Hats off to Rashidjass who really challenged all of us and forced us to come out of our comfort zones to learn new skills.
It was a foggy morning in Sweihan and the temperature was 27°C only to our surprise. We had the briefing by Rashidjass in which he reminded us to stay safe during the drive, to go down for a second attempt whenever we can’t make it, don’t fight the gravity and be attentive because there would be plenty of side cresting on both small & big dunes having sharp crests thumbsup .
We had Solmaz who was the 2nd lead, Booy who was sweeping and JockJKU and Mazaaj who were floating around the convoy. Just after few minutes of the drive start, we had the first crested car in an attempt to do side cresting. I got the opportunity to rescue it under Marshals’ supervision safely. Sweihan is an amazing area with high dunes that invite to make big arches and to do sharp side crests. In many of the sections, the sand was too soft and I really had to floor it to keep the momentum right ninja.
This was the first drive with my new set of tires and I was expecting to receive some new messages from Megatron. During the drive, I noticed that my front tires are having some issues, more on the right side, as I was hearing knocking sound whenever I was going down a drop and was applying breaks or while going over bumps and bushes. I knew that these are big tires so they will touch the body but since it was my first drive so those sounds were not comfortable for me. There were two places where I had second tries and I realized that it happened as my speed was dropped during the ascent probably due to the reason that unintentionally my foot on the pedal got relaxed due to the sound that I heard from the tires touching the body. Well, I believe that I will have to manage it with practice and with some wheel alignment.
We drove at fairly good pace and enjoyed some amazing offroad fun on high dunes. Drive stats are as follows:
Total Drive Time: 03:09:43
Track Distance: 51.73 km
Moving Avg: 28.8 km/hr
It was a great day that taught many new skills and also polished many of the learnt skills of ours. After such drives, my confidence level definitely goes up and I give full credit to almost4x4 marshals who are making us learn it the professional way.
Hoping to have more Sweihan intermediate drives in the coming future .
Cheers to all cool

Straight Roads Do Not Make Skillful Drivers yuush
Hi all,
Sorry for a late trip report, got some shifts at office immediately after friday.
Though its already all explained above in the trip reports, so i can't add much to it. As usual, it was great to see Lava flying sand on top of the dunes and flattening whatever crest comes on the way.
Without any doubt, this area is really amazing and is literally an out of the comfort zone place, where one has to be alert all the time. Nature of sand and shape of the dunes are unique, as compared to all the nearby areas of Dubai & Sharjah. From my observation, this was not a normal inter drive, breakfast was served a bit heavy and all the inter drivers had consumed it well. All the drivers did great... thumbsup ... and the convoy had maintained a nice pace.
Thanks Rashid for a another great drive.... great support by Solmaz, Jock and Booy.
Ah... special thanks to Mazaaj... its always great to see your charming face bro.. yaeh am not durnk . thanks for coming and wish to see you more often..... cool
