Morning All,
The Old & New drive was lead by Yoghybear but as it was a big drive with 16 cars it was split into two convoys with @Khatib leading the second convoy but following Yoghy's tracks. The drive was super smooth and at quite a good pace, we had no stucks, no pop outs and only a couple of second rounds that I can think of. It was so fast and smooth we reached the end point nearly an hour early :)
The sand was quite firm in some places and soft in others, probably due to the rain last week. Not much more to say really, I know a couple of the guys had their GoPro's on so hopefully there will be some nice videos to come in the trip reports. Looking forward to more drives with you guys and getting to explore more of the UAE. I might be out of action for the next couple of weekends as we have visitors.

Old and New beat my expectations, turning in fact into a classic Yoghybear-led fun drive. There were great parts where we took in every ridge and climb and sped along with hardly a second try (in fact everyone did really well).
It was a bit disconcerting to have Bu Salem behind me in mini me 2, as he would be a long way behind then suddenly appear right on my bumper, pushing me along, so with great skill he could keep his momentum and make the big climbs.
My car decided to shed a bit more plastic, this time a wheel-arch liner! The only problem here is it’s on the air intake side, so I’m going to have to put a cover on the opening to discourage the sand. I’ve seen ‘stockings’ used by others for this job (especially on the top of snorkels), and any advice on the ‘grade’ of stockings to use is much appreciated!
As we headed back, it was disappointing to see the Al Badayer desert tours are out in force again - comments like ‘it’s Sheikh Zayed Road’ were unfortunately close to the truth. The early mornings are still ok, but that later afternoon slot is certainly over-crowded.
A big thankyou to all the organisers.

Hello,
It seems like the weather is getting slightly better every weekend which makes it more fun to drive in the afternoon since this is the most beautiful time in the desert.
It is also more enjoyably to drive on untouched sand which might be hard to find in the upcoming days in this beautiful area:(
It was a great drive thanks to Marshalls, support and all participated. Let my video speaks for it self :))
