Normal 0 false false false EN-GB X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 All Lead V was fantastic. For me a first to drive in Sweihan – wow!
The campsite was easy to get to and it was great to see everyone; I have to admit I went to bed early after an exhausting week. What was amazing was just how cold it got during the 'early hours' so much so that I actually got inside my sleepingbag to keep warm!
In the morning we split into 2 group: the ‘big boys’, and the ‘fresh’ Intermediates. I was in the latter led by Bu Salem, second lead Paul, and swept by Yoghybear.
The dunes are steep and very sharp, and I really had to concentrate making sure to turn down immediately on passing a crest. There were some big drops which we practiced on, the Xterra getting into 4Lo second gear to control the descent.
We also had several huge bowls and spent some time practicing traversing the very steep walls, and having a great deal of fun as well! Unfortunately Melfi’s car suffered and stopped after one of these – good luck in getting it fixed.
Many thanks to all the organisers for a really fun trip; and I can safely say that Sweihan is right up there as a place to go back and explore some more.

What a day and what a drive.
I reached the campsite in morning where all campers gathered around a fruit basket and enjoying coffee.Amazing thing is that day was not hot where everybody enjoyed.Everyone got a chance (except Fida) to lead.(as a revenge Fida lead me to Abu-Dhabi by saying that it was short rout to dubai)It was amazing drive with few stuck and one pop out.I will say this type of the drives are the real learning experince. How to lead and make new track was the purpose of this wonderful day.I am thankful to all Marshals and founders who gave me chance to become the part of this event.

Whilst big thanks to all Almost family for another great camping gathering and drive, I'd refer to the very great leading skills done by all big intermediate boys which flagrantly prove the Almost4x4 policy in term of No one moves to next level unless he is fully capable and fulfilling all requirements of previous stage.
2 thumps up Bu Salem and all hats off Almost Marshals for your pricless efforts and off road dedication.

Thank you Marshal for organising All Lead V. It was a great opportunity and good learning experience to lead the convoy in Sweihan territory.
Big thumbs up to all other Intermediates for doing a great job in leading!

I was longing for this drive "All Lead" the date was selected very carefully by our marshals and the weather was amazing during the weekend. camp was great with nice weather and chit chat with everybody, went to sleep around 1 am to get some rest for the next day.
rest of the drivers joined us morning and everybody was ready for the quick briefing and announcing the driver's sequence, Intermediates who did not lead before were given the chance to lead and the rest can lead if time allows.
I believe all drivers did very well and we all have a lot of fun...I love Sweihan
thank you very much our dear founders and marshal for arranging such amazing drive, thank you Strwb, Khatib, Abu Tareq, Abu Jimmy for your efforts and thank you for the rest of the driver for the great lead and company.
