Hello, gentlemen.

Went out for a bit of beach camping this weekend and was surprised to find a barrier across the bridge with a sign posted saying the area was closed in March 2012 and will remain so until further notice.

What happened? Environmental disaster?

The area has been declared protected and placed off-bounds for fishermen and four-wheel drives, which used to frequent the adjacent beach, destroying the life of turtles, crabs, kingfishers and several other wetland creatures nest in the mangrove forests.

The area will be opened in near future for the visitors and no cars will be allowed.

It was the last best beach north of AD for being far away from the road and with easy, open access (unless someone knows of one I may have missed).

Thanks for the information, Naser. Keep us posted on the reopening, please.
