Bull Bar

Hi,

Am planing to custom make a bull bar for my Tundra, i have already visited icon and i have an idea. any idea where else i can do the required??

Not many people mention their name here, but I'm a big fan of Mebar Auto's metal work. I'm impressed with what I've seen. You might wana check them out.

I had my lights installed there too and although a little on the pricey side i was happy with the work they did .... you cannot see a thing out of place or any extra wires hiding under the hood. They do a lot of fabrication and know they are working on 3 or 4 car/projects but it never hurts to check

Thank you both for the tip, i personally know the mebar guys as i have bought and install my stage 3 suspenssion kit from them, but the issue is as mentioned by big red they are working on 3 or 4 car/projects and small job as mine i dont think they will be intrested adding to that i have tried to get my diff fix through them since month ago but no use :030:.

If you are talking about a bull bar that will be attached from underneath the bumper, it will only reduce the clearance of the approach angle, and by getting few hits, you will not only damage the bull bar, but will damage the bumper also (talking from experience here :p )
If the bull bar will be attached to the top or front of the bumper without affecting the clearance, then just ignore my note :)

Thanks for the info, actually this what i have in mind;

With this one, you will have a minimum of 2 inch reduction in the clearance of the approach angle, and won't do much in protection, it will definitely protect your bumper from scratches while parking, but that's only on road, won't do you much offroading, just my 2 fils

I agree with Deser_hawk. A tube bullbar is good for the road or if you meet a rock or a tree MAYBE, but not on sand. You need something solid to absorb the sand impact WHEN you hit. However, if it's for the looks then do whatever you fancy. I can't recall your car's details to comment on the approach angle though..
