Hello Team,
I would like to buy a nice decent GPS device for my offroad car and eventually use it on the daily car.
I'm not aware of the best brands and models, so your recommendations and advice are most welcome considering I have a budget around 800 or 1,000AED.
Which brand and model do you recommend?
Thanks!

Hey there,
I've been to AMIT recently & they recommended model nuvi 3790 or 1410
I'm using w205 & 276C , both are great!
My personal opinion, you may get the same devices I'm using from the market if you found them used in good condition, it would be great.
Cheers!

Thanks All for the info, very useful.
I guess the montana is a good option since I would like to have the routes transferred.
Just one thing, where is AMIT? Any address? :022:
Thanks!!!

Finally after research, I've bought the Garmin 3490 at 1,600AED in Carrefour with GCC and Europe maps.
This is the latest model from Garmin as is the replacement of the 3790. And one of the major reasons why I went over budget are:
Off Road navigation.
Display resolution, WxH: 800 x 480 pixels with multi touch.
Saves 1000 Waypoints and 100 Routes.
Voice-activated navigation.
Bluetooth.
So far in the city looks accurate and sensitive to the motion, giving a very accurate positioning. Now, still pending the test Off Road, which will happen IA next Friday.
See you soon!
