After quite some time, it was finally a drive with Optimus — one that had been long awaited and much anticipated. Expectations were naturally high, and the drive certainly delivered.
I reached the meeting point on time, deflated, and joined the briefing. Since most of us were already familiar with the area, the briefing was short, crisp, and straight to the point — exactly what’s needed before a fast-paced drive.
From the very first dune, the pace picked up. The drive was packed with cresting, side cresting, bowls, and plenty of flowing lines — pure off-roading fun from start to finish. The rhythm kept everyone on their toes, and I’d strongly recommend that newbies watch videos or read trip reports from this drive to get a sense of what to expect once they move up to the Intermediate level.
We had a couple of tire changes along the way, and one vehicle unfortunately faced a mechanical issue. The car was safely parked and later retrieved on our way back.
Overall, it was an excellent drive — thrilling, well-paced, and full of learning. A big thank you to the Optimus, Rashid and Scorpio for making it a memorable day.
PS: I did Kill Shot 2 also with Scorpio, and trust me — the name holds the same level of rush!
A glimpse:
See you all on the sand soon!
Regards
Paddy

We started the drive with much enthusiasm with Optimus racing off into the dunes and me in hot pursuit. There were many tricks, climbs and turns and some cars had to shed some parts to keep up

Skid plates went flying and radiators were dripping - a car needed a nap and was allowed to do so and was woken up in time to return home while another kept shedding it's tyres
Maybe it wanted to sand board instead of roll along. Problem is, you can't sand board up a dune.
With all the delays, Optimus really lit a fire and we had to hold to tight to the steering, the dashboard, hell even the roof just to keep up; but keep up I did
Thank you Optimus, marshalls and fellow Inters, and explorers for a super fun drive.
