Hello all,

@rashidjass kindly posted the drive mid-week and it had slightly unusual rule - those without recent trip reports for the past trips would be removed without notice. To be honest I also felt a decline in the numbers of reports posted. From my last intermediate drive there were 2 only including one of my own. Some took the instruction very seriously and in a matter of day posted a good dozen of reports including, I suspect, drives they did not even do :)

It was 48 degrees at the meeting point! Much better than 51 degrees day before :) Some cars (we won't name, but everyone could guess) overheated already at the meeting point without the drive and had to abort and left me alone in a wonderful company of FJs of all different colors.

Surprisingly I did not suffer too much with overheat. I announced to Rashid that I would occasionally taking flats once I see an issue, but did not have to do it much in the end. Combination of 2-3 gears and the terrain with longer approach allowed me to keep temperature mostly in check.

Rashid's car had a mechanical problem. It was kind of Ahmad to let him use his car to complete the drive. There was one cut tire which luckily happened towards the end when the temperature started to drop.

All in all a successful drive and Moustafa's watermelon never disappoints.

Thank you for the attention to this matter :)

No Pain, No Drive – The Report Revival Rally

When @Rashidjass dropped the drive announcement mid-week, it came with a twist — no recent trip reports? No drive, no mercy. The rule was as bold as the dunes we chase, and rightly so.

The drive launched straight into action. The terrain was a thrilling mix — rolling bowls that teased the limits of momentum, followed by sharp, tricky switches that demanded precision and control. The dunes weren’t playing easy. Just when we thought we found rhythm, we stumbled upon a zone of chaos — crazy, uneven pumps near a scorched, long-forgotten burned car. That section? It felt like driving through a battlefield — every bump testing suspension, reflexes, and patience all at once.

Near the end, with golden hour approaching and the worst of the heat fading, we had a single tire blowout — a small price to pay for the wild ride behind us. And just when energy dipped and hydration dreams kicked in, Moustafa’s legendary watermelon made its entrance — cool, juicy, and as heroic as ever.

In the end, this wasn’t just a drive — it was a mission. A tale of heat, horsepower, teamwork, and terrain that fought back. A reminder that in our tribe, the drive is the test — and the story is the reward.

Mid week I was so excited to being register to this drive. Finally some price for the ones always doing trip reports.
The afternoon was hot, 1 car unable to even start and other one so close as well.
Off we went with the only rule last standing man. As a whole I feel the radio communication for second tries is smooth.
Any way we had only two little problems. One car was leaking coolant but thanks to Ahmad then nothing was changed and Rashid continues the amazing drive and lines. We left almost no dunes untouched.
The other problems was a tire cut but we had enough tools to open 2 garages.
Water melon is always a blessing for Selim.
Honestly one of the drives I enjoyed the most and feel very connected to the car.
Thanks Ehab, Ortlansev and Rashid
See you soon

This drive was a true testament to its title No Pain, No Drive. From the very beginning, it was clear that this would be no ordinary desert experience.

One of the key highlights for me was having a partner onboard — a special thanks to JASS for allowing Ahmed to join as my passenger. His presence made a real difference throughout the drive. My car felt remarkably stable, especially during crest maneuvers. Even while descending from sharp crests, the car maintained its line and balance effortlessly.

The terrain was familiar, but this drive stood apart. It demanded intense focus, precise control, and constant adaptability. The flow of the convoy was masterfully tuned, and the challenges came in just the right doses to keep adrenaline high and skills sharp.

I began the drive as the last car among the intermediate group. But within just 30 minutes, I found myself promoted to second lead — with Ahmed still cheering beside me. From there, the real fun began. With every dune approached and every crest crested, the energy in our car soared. Laughter, jokes, and high spirits turned every obstacle into a memory.

One of my funniest moments was flattening several sharp crests — flying right over them and making clean landings that smoothed out the path for others behind. And letting the rest drive like flat on the crest.

Thanks to Rashid JASS – For leading this incredible drive with precision and confidence
Thanks Marshal Eyhab – For always watching our backs
Thanks to Orlansive – For his support and energy throughout
Thanks to All intermediate members – For making this drive full of joy and team spirit

Special shoutout to Mustafa – The true Watermelon Habibi — for adding flavor and refreshment to the adventure.

Looking forward to the next thrilling ride. Until then no pain, no drive!
