Hi everyone!
What to say about this drive? I believe that the perfect summary might be: "It was good practice & fun" for our Newbies +10 on a very nice playground escorted by many inter, advanced and marshals becoming a sort of a VIP drive for them.
It is good driving in summer as most of the Clubs decide to take a break while we never stop driving meaning fresh dunes and just few tracks which is not usual in a quite popular place, Sweihan.
Weather was good, hot but not humid with a bit of breeze making the venue quite pleasant actually. And not only that, some of us took advantage for keep on improving our skills in a "solo" mode
@Daggerfall led and managed the whole thing as usual, "nice and easy" but don't be fooled with that...one of these days you might have the privilege to see him on fire!
. For the time being, enjoy life as much as you can
Almost forgot, @presa and General @Barish kept the convoy safe all the time.
This drive was the end of my 4th season and I cannot wait to start the new one in just a few weeks! Till then and for those still around, enjoy driving!
See you soon, Carlos

Dear Almosters,
Baby board II, lead by Daggerfall was definitely an up leveling drive for our new newbies 10+, they had a taste of what their new level might look like with higher arches, faster pace, and some ridge crossing. Located in the beautiful Sweihan the terrain allowed them to drive higher dunes than before. That was a lot to take on!
I even heard some of them whispering that Daggerfall was scary… I personally agree with that statement
he knows how to give you the “chill”. He has claimed that this is all in the past…
Overal the drive was quite smooth, a few second trial and disconnections, lots of guidance and support were given since we had an addition of 2 marshals (Presa and Barish), Mostafa as a second lead, Dorukan supporting in the convoy + 3 advanced members (Ehab, Petr and Carlos) to help out and provide guidance which truly contributed to keep that drive moving.
I got lucky to be invited and appointed as sweeper. Very first time for me… being the tail of the convoy was very interesting as I could see the support/floating team in action ! Tracks were hard to identify at times but thanks to the support team the drivers at the back of the convoy were always able to find back their way.
We had a stop nearby the Nagara hill dunes and Daggerfall allowed the intermediates and advanced drivers to play. A great gift before my departure since it is one of my favorite dune to crest ! I had the pleasure to welcome a passenger (Audrey) and give her a little roller coaster tour around… thank you for trusting me !
hope to see you join the next CM drive !!! We need more ladies around
.
On that note I wish to thank Daggerfall for allowing me to join, along with our marshal supports and advance support team
, this was really a great drive.
Take care,
Enjoy your holiday for those traveling and see you back in August!

Hello Almosters,
Despite the hot summer weather, our sand-loving members showed great enthusiasm for our afternoon drive. As anticipated, the highlight of summer driving is navigating through soft, untracked sand.
Although the weather was sweltering at our meeting time, the conditions improved after about 1.5 hours with a
breeze and lower humidity.
While we didn't reach our initial target, the "old lady," we had ample opportunity to tackle various obstacles during our drive with our 10+ members. We faced challenging climbs and I commend those who wisely opted to retreat when momentum was lost. Understanding your vehicle's limits and making prudent decisions are crucial for safe and advanced driving.
Listening to warnings from lead cars about upcoming obstacles is equally vital for protecting yourself and your vehicle from potential damage.
Special thanks to @presa, @Barish, @Petr, @CARLOSS, and @Ehab for their exceptional support. Their vigilance ensured the safety of the convoy throughout. I also extend gratitude to @Ely for sweeping, @dorudoru for assistance, and @Moustafa19 for the refreshing watermelon and second lead.
Overall, everyone performed admirably, and I hope you all had a fantastic time.
Looking forward to seeing you all next time!
Best regards,

Showed up to Saturdays drive full of anticipation as this was my first 10+ drive and I knew the level was about to be raised. Had a chat with Marshall daggerfall about last week's drive and he gave me a few tips. One tip being know when to bail out before the car loses momentum on a climb, better to have a 2nd try than get stuck or risk rolling the car. Second point was how to get onto a crest safely and switch to the other side. Within minutes of starting we faced this obstacle on a small dune, first attempt I had to bail out. Second attempt I didn't get both wheels over as the Marshall instructed and the car turned on the top. Nerves, excitement and adrenaline got the better of me, all part of the learning process and something to take away and think about.
We rode higher arches, bigger climbs with some technical aspects not just a straightforward up. Requiring more car control and attention to stay on the line. One tiny obstacle a quite sharp 90 degree turn into a little drop proved troublesome for my lwb car. The fj in front I watched his speed and tried to match that, but this did not work and I found myself stuck twice Requiring self recovery. Third time lucky I hit it with just the right amount of momentum and cleaned the obstacle without flying .
I'll admit I was scared a few times as we was riding much bigger climbs at higher speeds than we previously have. But I pushed through and came out feeling exhilarated with a sense of achievement. Fear is just weakness leaving the body
One of the stop points the intermediates and advanced were allowed to go and play, we watched from the bottom as they showed us there skills climbing and surfing the crest. Ely was very kind to offer me a seat in her fj so I could experience this myself as a passenger. Loved the feeling of surfing the crest in her car which she made look easy. Proud to know I'm being taught by the same club that has developed her skills to be able to do this and that hopefully one day I will be doing this myself.
We was spoilt with support crew and having 3 Marshalls to expertly guide and advise us. Almost vip experience for the 10+ newbies. Massive thank you to all the Marshalls, intermediates and advanced for training and guidance.
Until next time........

Hello All,
It is always nice to see new faces in the club, and it is a shame for me that you are 10+ but you are new to me.
Past couple of months, life was quite busy and unfortunately I couldn't manage to prioritize sandy weekends. Regardless, it is good to back and nice to see new people learning and enjoying the hot sweaty weather of the region.
It was a great experience for 10+, lots of new things to practice. @Daggerfall is an expert to match the level of the convoy and push them to the limit in a safe way. High arches, few side crests with flat dunes. I assume everyone enjoyed the drive.
I was also hearing @presa was back after his loooong looong absance, and here he goes! Great to haveyou back in your new toy!
Of course there were some stucks, second tries and thats part of the game, part of the learning.
Just one important reminder to the drivers, communication to be given the utmost importance. There were some second tries and cleared obstacles not been communicated properly.
I was jelaous to see my gals @Ehab , @CARLOSS and @Petr floating around freely. However, I am glad to see them around, that gives me joy, you deserved it guys!
Also without forgetting, general @Barish was with us to keep everyone safe and keep the convoy order.
Looking forward to see you more!
See you on the sand.

Hello everyone
I was reading from @Daggerfall eyes during last week drive that he was plamning to do sth in here while he was saying that opportunities in Sweihan is endless
It was another hot day but no humid so was managable. Convoy was set, highlights were given and reminders sent to drivers and the fun started.
Sweihan is such interesting area you may think that you can do sth but may not be able to or you think you will not be able to but bingo! We have experinced stucks, second tries and technical issues, passenger transfers and big boys/girls plays. All possible in Sweihan
All drivers did well, support team was hardworking in every situation to rescue, fix and guide.
Thanks to @Daggerfall for organizing this drive and the track, advance and intermadiates for rescue and support.
Dont forget: change is nothing but imakes sense by mproving only so make your choice: change by improving or ...
See you next time
