Hi Almosters!

It was good to be back to "Old Sweihan" . We have many good memories in this area before they closed it with fences. But it seems the area became active again. We saw 2 or 3 other convoys during our drive so I am sure we will come back for more.

The unique feature of this area is its perfectly rounded big bowls. There are several of them and you can do high speed (120km+) turns inside and its really really fun!

@alshamsi_m gave us a great drive and all did great in general.

@giorgio Its good that @alshamsi_m didn't forget that he was followed by intermediates otherwise some might have to change pants if he went for some of those "combos" (They were really tempting!)

Hi Almosters

Today has been an unforgettable day for me, great for the fantastic drive captained for @alshamsi_m with @Daggerfall , @giorgio and @Youssef.Abdelhady , and because was my farewell to Dubai. In last more than 6 years I have enjoyed this land, but above all because Almost 4x4, all friend that I have there and desert drives with you.Thanks to all of you and especially to Marshalls for what you have taught me and the many rescues that have helped me (more in the Hummer time).

Part of my heart will remain here, guys I will miss all of you.

Hi All
Drive in sweihan is always special as it is known as mini liwa. But this time the chosen area was new for me, however it was told be the original sweihan spot.
Most of us gathered up on time, however @Rashidjass couldnt make it due to some minor issues with lava. (get well soon)
Briefing was done by @Shamsi , who placed @giorgio as 2nd lead while @Daggerfall was asked to sweep. It was announced to be a buddy system for the rescue. Since i was the 5th car and @rapailo being 6th, he became my team mate. lucky no requirement arose in the beginning but the way the sand was, i was expecting lot of pop outs down the road.
The start off itself was on high dunes with lot of side crests and steep climbs. The sand was wet beneath the first layer which made it very bumpy for the later cars. The most challenging part of the drive for me was, the climbs after the side crests n towards another side crest. The side ways jumps due to the wet sand, made me conscious of the pop out on every attempt.
@Shamsi made us do multiple high arches, and every time i thought this was the highest one, there came another more challenging one..... thanks to @Shamsi First time i had touched 120 kph on the arch circling around!!! on fire
we were really challenged by the lead car, where on every climb a surprise was waiting....
After a good 3 hrs drive we headed back to the start line. It was a wonderful day along with an excellent yet challenging ride.
Thanks to @Shamsi , @Daggerfall and the support team for a ride full of adrenaline.
