Hi Almosters
It was a very hot day....it was so hot, at one point presa told me to stop because there was a huge amount of liquid coming under my car ...Luckily it was just the AC you're kidding, right
The weather didnt cooled down like in previous drives but it didnt stopped us either from having fun. grin
We targeted Nagra dune but decided to turn back before and play around due to heavy traffic in the area ...it seems like we were not the only crazy people yesterday grin
I had kareem.alameldin as a passenger and hope he enjoyed the experience. He had the chance to see what type of risks the leading car takes during our short flight because of a hidden bump on an arc arr.
Everyone did good in general and we finished the drive without any major issues. (There were no jeeps around you're kidding, right )
I realized how I missed Sweihan and I am waiting for winter to visit here more often!
Thank you all guys. It was a great day.
See you next time

. some dunes was really dangerouse espicially when we getting from the soft side its really scary killzonesmiley .

Hello All,
What a relief you get when you get to open your wings completely after almost 2 months of being tied up on fire . Thanks much Daggerfall for this over-the-top drive; loved the pace and the level thumbsup thumbsup
It was 47ºC when we started the drive after having the briefing from Daggerfall. Since the time I have returned, incidentally both the drives were organized by Daggerfall and I have noticed that he comes with the convoy sequence as well now. Not only that who would be the second lead and who would sweep but rather the sequence of the full convoy i.e. who would drive at which position. I like the idea because it obliges you to drive at different positions in the convoy and behind a different car in every other drive which actually adds to the learning due to diversity as compared to driving in the front/middle/end of the convoy most of the time and driving behind some specific car usually.
Well, the convoy was placed in the order that presa was the second lead and SINGH was to sweep. I was the 5th car right in the middle of the convoy. In the briefing, Daggerfall mentioned that he will increase the level a little up in this drive and would be doing side cresting from both the windward and leeward sides of the dunes ninja. The instructions were clear not to take any risks and follow the basic safety rules at all times.
The drive was fast and cruel for the crests arr.. Since it was really hot so, the sand was soft at many of the areas and I noticed that even 1 second of delay in the throttle response was enough to cause you a second try. The tire pressure in such a weather and in such a drive is crucial, I guess, and makes a lot of difference in the performance. This was the first proper drive in which I was able to feel the difference of my tires – have become a fan; thank you alshamsi_m thumbsup
We had few second tries on some of the sharp crests that we approached from the leeward side and had one pop-out; but I believe everyone did great and the whole convoy was driving responsibly and was focused yuush. It was a great learning experience and boosted my confidence on both the car and skills that I have learnt over these years. I would say such drives helps you to improve your reflexes and control required for higher levels.
As mentioned by Daggerfall, due to a lot of traffic we did not go to Naqra and I would say that we did not miss much as we had a lot of fun already in the middle.
Some of the drive stats are as follows:
Total Drive Time: 03:09:43
Track Distance: 51.73 km
Moving Average: 28.8 km/hr
Thank you all for your company. See you soon in the sand at the Eid drive…
Cheers cool

Hi Almosters!
We had a great drive at a higher level Daggerfall leading us and SINGH sweeping! DustnGlory was my passenger and I believe he could sense the difference on the playing field.
As mentioned temperature was high, but this didn't stop the fun.
Dunes were high and powder soft... hard tyres, like my KO, were suffering to keep the pace that Daggerfall was leading us! As nabil_k mentioned the crests were suffering :)
We had no incidents, but a flat tyre on me after a small jump... I miss the jeeps grin grin grin grin
Looking for next interm drive!

hi
i am sorry for writing the report late because i was on the move.
this was my second time in sweihan but completely different. as daggerfall mentioned that he is going to increase the drive level which can be seen clearly in the start of the drive. the crest was sharp and we did both in the wind and opposite to wind direction.
the first few minutes of this drive was quite enough for the adrenaline when doing a crest straight into the ditch. i enjoyed this drive even it was really hot and it was good that pathfinder survived.
see you all again and thanks for this amazing adventurous drive.
