Hi ALMOSTERs
Just a normal Friday in Dubai in summer, 45 degrees temperature a little windy and the best part it is drive day. I arrived around 0315 pm enough time to say hi to everyone and deflate. After all gathered we received the famous ALMOST4X4 off-roading basics explanation by daggerfall with a good focus on safety of oneself and other convoy memebers as well. After that bu salem divided members into two convoys, I was in 1st convoy, daggerfall’s convoy. Cars lined up as daggerfall ( leading car), jock (2nd lead), gold patrol safari (3rd car) and panthera as 4th (my car cool ). We set off nicely a couple of 2nd tries and I got crusted once (will start counting from now on brigade.baka-wolf.com ) and saved by Scorpio XD . We faced some really interesting dunes with some double descending ones, a couple of sharp ascending dunes. Daggerfall made sure it was interesting and the pace was always changing which forced drivers focus and follow previously explained safety rules.
All in all it was an amazing drive, take out of the day for me is be brave enough to climb the dunes to the other side with enough momentum.
Till next time take care and see you on the sand

Hello Everyone
It was diffenetly hot but it was obvious this group of people are not backing off. You could see the excitement in the eyes of the new family members which makes us want to do this again and again.
I was with Booy's convoy and our pace was doing very well "No major issues" at all except the speed.
My advice: if you see the car moving smoothly in front of you or it's flag then that is enough, just keep the 20m distance and carry on. If it is a big climb/drop where the other car disappear then wait for the "clear" on the radio.
Booy was busy at the end of drive doing tools inspection which mean some of you are going to be upgraded within couple of days to jump to the next adventure.
Have a great week ahead and see you next Friday.
Cheers

It is always nice to see new members with excitement in CM drives. Weather was diffucult at the beginning, view distance was limited during briefing but all cleared after we started to move.
I believe all drivers did very well and i agree with @alshamsi_m that the momentum in a convoy is the speed adjustment and maintaining the distance; plus radio communication to make yourself safe and others aware of you. I would like to repeat again that being stuck is better than jeopardizing your situation..it is not a shame and consider as part of the fun..
CM drives are also good for us to polish the skills and focus on points that we sometimes miss in higher level drives.
Improve while you are chging to make it meaningful and mistakes help you to learn the right thing unless you repeat them.
See you on the sand.

Hello everyone
It was my first time to have such experience of off-roading in group. Motivation of offroading was also due to 1 senior of this club It was really a wonderful experience. The confidence which i got from this drive is really very high. Each step was properly organized and the briefing at the start was really very helpful. I really feel happy to start my offroding experience with such a great and supportive team.
Hope to have a wonderful journey being a part of this team.

Morning All!
Great to see new faces, and wake up this morning to see new stars amongst us!!
This was the usual format for the Club Member drive, Safety Briefing and theory lesson, followed by a drive for a couple of hours.
I was in Daggerfall convoy and everyone drove well and i believe had a great time!
Thanks to the organisers and support who are too many to mention individually!
Great to see many new faces, and hope to see you all again soon!
Till next time,
Jock

Hello Everyone,
Great to see and meet with new faces on this CM drive. Although, the temperature was high but the enthusiasm and spirit of offroading was even more higher thumbsup
We had the briefing ‘Basics of Off-roading’ by alshamsi_m and Daggerfall and then there were two convoys made; one to be led by Daggerfall and the other to be by Booy. I was in Daggerfall’s convoy and it was a nice and enjoyable drive with climbs and drops. We had some second tries and crested cars during the drive which was normal as part of the learning. As they say, if you are not getting stuck then you are not trying enough yuush
Hope to see you all in the newbie level of fun arr.
Cheers cool
