All has been said about this drive already, and I really enjoyed it.

It was technical and slow in parts but where possible @Mark B opened the taps and got us moving at pace, and with only a few second tries, and with only one very minor stuck the drive was a success! Definitely the best night drive was saved for last. I agree with @Dave, and think @Mark B is a diamond. He led with confidence and chose a great track to match the abilities of the convoy. Thanks to @Dave for the sweep and to the Intermediates for being there in case we needed you!

I unfortunately couldn't hang around too long at Pink Rock so departed with Dave. A mix of deep bowls, steps and sharp crests, combined with the softest sand I have driven on so far met us on the way out, which was great fun in the dark! Thank you very much for the lead out @Dave and to @matts on the sweep.
Yep it was me! And yes that was one heck of a bounce you had, glad its only the bash plate i was worried for your radiator.
Well, apart from the bash plate (actually it is not just bended, it's fully smashed) I'm very glad I had my belts on, as the hit was so strong that my neck and back are still shaking... ;)

Oh, and when we stopped to inflate, I realized that on the front left wheel I was almost with no air, which means likely the hit was so hard I had almost a pop-out (or I had a pop-out that got self recovered)...

Hey there, apart from wasimb2, there is no trip report from convoy B.
Have you made home or are you still at Pink Rock?
The problem or lets say difference of FJ is it has IFS (Independent Front Suspension) The Jeeps has solid front axle which means the clearance between the ground and axle is fixed so they hardly hit their engine department when they have hard landing.
True, unless they bend the axle ;-)

Don't worry about bent axles it just gives you extra camber for increased cornering ability on the road :o

@alshamsi_m found the perfect route for "GRAND FINALE" and it was full of surprises.
I was with the convoy “B” lead by @alshamsi_m , sweep by @Defragmantor and @Yoghybear as free Marshal, taking care all of us.

In 1st part of the track, sand was very soft and we newbies had to struggle little bit to keep the belly of the car above sand. I had 2 stuck in same place and thanks @Defragmantor for saving me.

It was a mix of technical dunes, small pockets of soft sands, good drops and everything you need for a adrenaline rushing fun.

I think it is time to trim front bumper of the pajero as suggested by @hamzahng. Had a big hit while doing a drop and i was lucky to leave the sand with bumper still attached to the pajero in the end of the drive.

Big thank to @alshamsi_m and all Marshals for organizing this events during this Ramadan and giving us the opportunity drive in night and learn lots of things that we will never get in daytime drives.

cant wait for the next drive with all of you.
