I was in bu Tariqs convoy, Great lead.
we had two stucks that I remember off, others were self recovery.
and everyone was back safe and in one peace. to some it was good practice to feel there car and its moments.

Well done everyone.

few points.
Seatbelt is a must in desert. I have seen people get hospitalized because of not wearing it.
don't fight gravity. go down as soon as you see your carr is slowing down.
Keep Distance. if you get stuck because someone in front of you took brake, then maybe its best to leave distance.
Do not park like your in traffic on road. Bu salim showed you guys how it is to stop in desert, if you can't remember, ask him again.
stucks, second tires, un expected things happen in desert, its part of the game, I'm glad to see we all laughed about it and made it joyful. :D

A nice event to start 2016
After meeting and splitting into two convoy we start the trip
I was with al khateeb and abu jimmy
Nice trip with no major stops
The traffic was horrible in the area
We cross safely to the camp point and we join the other convoy and club members
Thanks to almost 4x4 for a nice event :like:

Very nice and interesting way to start the new year. The drive started with a very professional briefing and splitting of drivers in two different convoys by Alshamsi. I was in the convoy led by Bu-Tariq. The route chosen was rather easy but very beautiful. A couple of stucks provided opportunity for standing and enjoying the beauty of desert as well as learning opportunity to all. I guess the simple point of keeping the right distance (15-20 mts) remains relevant and important as ever. As always the stucks were handled safely and professionaly as always by the seniors.

On a different note, I had never ever seen the desert as busy as I saw on 1st. Seemed like all the road traffic had shifted to desert! The marshals took extra care to ensure the we all safely navigated away from the crowded area just after 2nd December.

Finally we landed at the mmeting / BBQ spot. What an amazing choice of place and the weather played its part to make the evening even more enjoyable. Had a nice relaxing time peppered with food (Cake, Karak and more) being circulated around.

Finally I left the area around 8.00 pm and went back home relaxed and with good memories.

Thank you marshals and all fellow drivers for providing a fabulous start to the new year for me.

Cheers!

Hello Everyone

I decided to have a very relaxing start for the year after the action in last week in Liwa " more than 300 Km offroad ". I had a discussion with Khatib where he was asking me to drive with the newbies and then drive to pickup the Club Members and I was saying that it might take me longer and I want to be ON TIME I don't want the CMs to panic if they don't see anyone on the meeting point.

Well I reached 6 min before the Event Start because I lost my mobile in the desert and had to stop and search for it, So I apologize to all our club members for any inconvenient.

We had smooth drive to the camp site area where we met with the othere convoys. The sitting around the fire and chit chatting was the right thing I was looking for. @Khatib, Abu Jimmy, Booy, awais_300 and I were the last group left at 9:00 PM So we enjoyed our program to the max.

Thanks to elena for the delicious food, cooking, being patient and bare my fast driving to catch the CMs meeting time.

Also, I would like to thank all the Marshals & I/A members who supported this event. Finally, I hope that all of you had great time like mine and looking forward to see you in the Eggs Basket.

Best Wishes

What a way to start the Year, than to drive with your off road family. I was with the 5+ Convoy which was lead by ALKHATIB. I had my youngest brother with me on this trip, and I told him that if he gets scared, he will never ride with me anywhere. :devilish: He managed to have fun however, and every time we hit a dune he goes like "go for it." on the briefing he was lucky to find a kid from his school, turns out that it was fida 's Son, so they managed to play along with each other. As for me, I was having fun, even though there were some second tries, but the rest was a smooth drive.

, it was great, technical a bit, but smooth. I did however managed to do some second rounds. then we headed over to the camp site, where we chitchatted and enjoyed the evening.

It was a fascinating way to start the new year. Always love the drives and events with the club. We started the drive around 2.45pm from Nazwa shops and drove to fossil rock. I was in the convoy led by bu tareq and we had couple of stucks. This is mainly due to not keeping a right distance, wrong tire pressure and wrong power during a climb. Anyway then we came on an easy route to Fossil Rock, where we had the gathering enjoyed some snacks and tea. some stayed for little longer but I had to leave.

It was a nice evening, weather was great and saw some dune sport along the way. Thank you Marshals and founders for organizing the event.
