I have a wire/cable that I recently noticed hanging down from the rail that the injector wires are coming from and I have no idea where it goes.

First thing I did was look online for wire diagrams and cant find this wire
Second I just grabbed the wire and extended it as far as I could and moved it around the engine bay looking for something it can plug into.

If you know what it is please let me know cause its driving me nuts.

In many cars the cabling is done for all options at manufacturing of the car. In engine compartment, there are mostly 'free' cables related to cruise control. In your case the best would be to compare similar model with yours, just to be on safe side. The cable itself should have some markings (coding) and based on this you could find to which part this cable belongs. Many wiring diagrams are available on line. Maybe you can Google for it.

Actually i went over and over my FSM - turned out it is the connection to the OEM O2 sensor - how ever last shop that did exhaust work removed that section of pipe and just straight pipe. With no O2 sensor might have something to do with the fact im running so rich in the first place and my gas consumption is in the low low low teens.

There is a funny thread on jeepforums about YJ. You know you drive a YJ when.......

when you open the hood and friends comment "is this wire supposed to be hanging there like that not attached to anything?" and you can honestly and without fear answer "yea that little guy ... you don't need that little guy ... it came like that"

or

...you tighten a loose ground wire and 3 sets of wires you have never seen before fall out of no where and lead no where.

Kenn, don't even think try to go any electricians, except original dealer, which I doubt also, that they can help. I'm very skeptic about these services...

Last week I needed to connect my new lights and I was lazy to do this easy job myself (1 relay, 1 switch, power connection, all material available with me), too much hot. I though, that this can be done by any electrician in Sharjah industrial area garages. I finished going from garage to garage (named with bad English as Car Electrician) and everywhere I got the answer - "Boss, too much problem, I cannot do, try there and there...".
