Hello everyone
Another time out with friends. After the summer season all the dunes have reshaped, it is interesting how they change from easy to hard or the other way around. In the first dune we had " Bu Salem Bowl " which used to be a bowl just bigger than the car with steep soft side wall and on the other side it suppose to be sharp slop, sad to say that it was hardly is there but I am sure it will come back and I will take you there - Maybe in summer :059:
Everyone did very well in this drive and I am sure that you are going to progress more and more with us.
The after drive sitting and chit chatting was so rewarding with hot coffee and orlantsev healthy drinks
Keep the sand flying
Cheers

A mixture of fun and frustration Dunes Tips was quite a drive, with rather too many references to Ginger on the radio!
My terrified guest from Hong Kong had never been in the desert before, and so I wanted to show him what getting stuck meant, what a pop-out was, and how we name annoying ditches ‘Ginger’s Ditch’ ! It seemed to be ‘just one of those days’, and I’m definitely going to restore my vitamin C intake as suggested by Dave....
Many thanks to all the organisers.

This drive was really amazing! A real Fun Jamboree.
Where all Jamboree participants were pushing the acceleration pedal to the Floor to catch the leading FJ
@alshamsi_m you know, we felt it coming before the drive. It was definitely Xtreme. The adrenaline was at the good level, and all drivers left impressed. It was a good tease.
Started with 10psi and ended up with 12psi, a pressure check is good to go with. The sand was very soft and we were tackling high dunes' crests so having optimum pressure is crucial to have excellent stability... I still remember the 15PSI drive challenge, we were playing on the small dunes @al badayer where cars went crazy in term of stability.
@Dave yes indeed, peace and love was felt behind every dune...or better to say in every corner... and nothing frustrating, compared to fly an airplane in a waiting circuit ahead of landing, just after a long flight hours, this is what I call really frustrating... And those FJ's loving eat rubber, without offense to all members, we are talking about the two most active FJ's these past two years! I would say hat off, I wouldn't say no to feed them more with rubber
@ginger, did you see the paparazzi shot ?
I find no more words to express such amazing week-end fully spent with almost4x4, so I let you check below, an additional collection of shots... @Dave nice pics I am sure you will make good use of your new toy)
A big appreciation to @alshamsi_m , @Hockey and @salhinai for their dedication during this long day.

Some great photo's there momo. Everyone is smiling. Even ginger! :011: That camera of yours has great resolution. No need for two camera men on these trips. You're the expert. I will stick with my phone for now. Good job!

There was such a mix of options before this Friday: camp, rescue for the newbie trip, this intermediate trip etc …. so I felt confused not being able to do all three. In the end I decided to stay home on Thursday night and only do the Dunes Tips. The pre-trip thread was quite controversial, so in order not to be an example of what was discussed there I left ahead of time, visited the petrol station etc. The briefing by Bu Salem was the shortest ever since we did not have too much time before the sunset. The drive started with practically no warm up and we went straight into some big dunes. Given that it was still a bit far from Badayer, there was not so much traffic which made it very enjoyable. The first 40 minutes passed by without any issue and the pace was good. Even the area was fairly familiar Bu Salem managed to find some tricky spots. At Badayer it was usual madness – I wonder if there is any statistics on the number of accidents that take place there? Therefore, after little break we left. It was one of the drives which you regret that it finished so soon, as I felt like driving more and more. After it ended three cars including me went to watch the ‘parade’ of cars climbing the Big Red over tea and coffee which made it a good wrap up of the day.

I didn't check the travelling distance to the meeting point on the GPS in advance, as i usually do, get the time to get there. I left a bit early, also to check out the set-up (tyres and lower springs) which were changed last week. I did not know what to expect of the new setup so I was a bit worried getting into to the first dunes. The worries quickly disappeared and I started really enjoying the drive. This set up is so much better. The drive was swift and with short interruptions only. Pop-offs and the cut tyre were taken care of by many hands, quick and so efficiently.., we had time a short break to watch some climbs by quads, buggies and others at the super bowl. Heading back to the Albadayer, the place was humming with activity, - to say it nicely..
Great Friday afternoon again.. thanks to all the leaders and participants for another great day with Almost 4x4.
