Eid Drive

Dear All,
It was an amazing family trip. After very long my wife and kids tasted the desert. And what a start right before the start!!!
I mean the Eidi (in India we call it Eidi whereas I guess its called Eidiya here) for all, especially the kids. I wholeheartedly thank Bu-salem for that memorable gesture. the kids loved the candies and the unexpected money. I guess what this does, more than anything else, is build a lifetime memory for the kids and also encourages them to share when they themselves grow up in life. Kids kept asking me "Why uncle gave us money?" and I tried my best to explain that to them.
The drive itself was very nice and enjoyable with the right amount of adventure thrown in. Weather Gods were kind too and it wasn't very hot. Wife and kids thoroughly loved the drive and kept egging me to go faster and faster, higher and higher....
However not being used to such topsy turvy ride, my daughter developed motion sickness as we were in Area 3. She threw up a couple of times and the convoy had to be stopped for that. At the same time it was overwhelming to see everyone being concerned and supportive and offering the advice to the best of their knowledge and experience. Luckily it did not get any worse and we were able to move. However at 2nd December we decided to separate from the group since the kid was feeling pukish again. We had planned to spend the evening with the club, chatting with everyone as planned. Wife had also got some delicious Indian Sweets for everyone. We not only had to miss out on the post drive get together, we also missed out handing over the box of sweets to one of the members which could have still been shared with all. I am now left to consume all the sweets by myself, adding of some avoidable calories and Kgs!!
Me and family wish to thank marshals and all the fellow drivers for the great drive and evening. We anxiously look forward to next family drive.
