It was lovely Friday morning
We had a wonderful surprise at the meeting point...Abu Jimmy was there mostly recovered (الحمد لله) and ready again for the sands
Took off on time 7:30 AM a little warm up and we hit the sands
Bu Saleem leading and it was my first time to be the second lead, the guys who drove behind BU Saleem certainly knew the joy of driving behind him specially when it's Safari style drive, it feels like riding a huge swing between the dunes
4 km after the starting point we had a bad accident to our dear member kvish and his wife in their SUZUKI
Here I want to admire the control and imperturbability they showed after the accident, Bu Salem Abu Jimmy, Rashijass and Yoghybear fixed the leaking fluids, cleaned all parts re-fixed the spark plugs and the vehicles were ready to move out of the desert after calling the traffic police
It's now 10:00 AM Kvish and his wife are safe waiting for the recovery truck and police officer to come to Al-Badayer
Another meeting... all relaxed no one wanted to leave the sands, took off again and hit toward the pink rock
Nice drive everyone gets in and out the bowl and up to the mountain no issues except the SKY BLUE VITARA overheating
On our way back Bu Salem on the radio (SURPRISE)
It was a dune hidden behind a bigger dune which is not possible to see till you're about to go down the first one, few of us had a second try but it went out all fine
Get back to Al-Badayer... nice drive nice company
Thank you Marshals it was another great day out in the sands, thanks to everyone and see you all soon
Be safe

Hello Members

As expected that the drive would be a bit warm before summer ends. Our club members ' feelings were warmer than the heat by being there for each others. Had great time driving to pink rock back and forth but didn't have the chance to play more due to the over heating issues I in countered with MCloud. I am sure that we are going to have more fun to come in winter. Until then, drive safely and keep the sand flying

Cheers

Hello brothers,

As always, it was really nice drive, especially with 4 marshals on board. It was great to see our beloved marshal Rashidjass (like alshamsi_m called him).
I drove last in the convoy and Yoghybear was behind, it was quite challenging when you feel you are under observation of a marshal, trying to drive perfectly and don't mess up.
The track was interesting with Safari style, had few issues but in general the whole drive and experience was great.
Day after day, ALMOST team proves to be the best family to be with.

Below is the track information.

I also had a chance to drive in front of Yoghybear, and twice made the same mistake, trying to fight gravity and thus endangering myself..
After the drive Yoghybear explained me my faults and what i should do and what not.. So it's actually good to drive in front of the marshal, as they see your mistake and will help you to improve. Thank you, Yoghybear for a knowledgable feedback!
Generally, the drive was VIP, as we had super number of marshals and "McCloud" as a lead. Always tricky, always fast, always ready to give a bit of a thrill running over your spine (alshamsi_m:thumbsup:).

Weather is getting better and better, so the season promises to be interesting!

Cheers,

100% agree elena, the 2 best ways to learn are driving in front of Marshal or ride with him.

Finally, the season is coming back!!! i really enjoyed the drive this time... got a couple of holding the convoy, but but but the pajero was not stuckm the first time i hit something and the bumper was bent and it hit the wheel so i just re aligned it. And the second time was as BAT mentioned the surprise of alshamsi_m where there was a dune hidden in another dune, thanks to Rashidjass he guided me through it. Also thanks to Yoghybear for the exercise... it showed me that eventhough a crest looks hard it will be fairly easy to cross, but you have to be careful.
