Hello All

I would like to thank Rashidjass for leading me "Lava " FJ, it is been a long time that I have not driven an FJ. Well if you were not in the desert last Friday afternoon then you missed the chance to see the Winter coming, The rain was so nice to arrive after the Thunder storm. We had an excellent time just by playing with the first TWO dunes of AL Badayer " Big red & His little brother ". The dunes after Pink Rock were so nice with safari style too.

Looking forward to drive my own FJ, Dear intermediates get ready for Thrilling season this year.

Take care

P.S: if you see a picture of Rashid's FJ stuck that is me not him :like:

It was nice seeing Abu Salim driving an FJ again to remember my first trip to Swiehan when I was newbie and he offered FSL and myself a seat in his car to accompany him in an advance trip. Anyway, let us come back from the memory lane to our trip, it was really nice to hit the dune once again with Almost Family. The track was nice and Bu Salim made sure he makes it exciting. I thank @alshamsi_m & @Yoghybear for ensuring that the trip is fun and at the same time safe. Thank you guys for taking care of us as usual. Thanks to all my friends who joined us on this trip, it was nice to meet up with my Salalah trip buddies. Hope to see all very soon again on the dunes.

Hello,

It was a beautiful afternoon in the desert . First part was fast and full of fun (Sorry we couldn't capture). Second part, we drove in safari style and watched the beautiful lightning show and incoming desert storm. Scenery was amazing!!

Thanks Yoghybear and alshamsi_m for the opportunity. Cant wait for the next one!.

Here you can find a video of the second part (Thanks to Solmaz and Agalon for the footage). Hope you enjoy it.

Best Regards

Driving towards Al Badayer I noticed beautiful white clouds decorating the sky. So I had a short chit-chat with Yoghybear telling him maybe it is a sign of the winter season coming. We, then, estimated that it might stay hot and clear till two to three weeks more.
Started the drive in a specific convoy configuration which was 20% catch me if you can (for two experienced newbies) and 80% catch each others (intermediates). We crossed the road to start over bigRED, where we had many stops for seconds try and pop-out fixing. As mentioned by Abu Salem, we then headed to the Big red's little brother which is around 1.4 km North, did few loops there and from there we did a zigzag route tackling the dunes to arrive to Pink rock and drive along it from its East side in an almost straight line.

Next point was 2nd December shop. At this point it was getting darker, and Yoghybear and myself weather forecast was getting challenged, as heavy dark clouds were building up and we smelt the storm coming. Few recovery here and there, and the weather completely changed playing it four seasons in couples of hours. It got very windy and continuous lightening were hitting the dunes so it is not safe to be outside of cars in case of stuck situation under lightening. We decided to change our route and go back to Al Badayer on easy route. This was a bit challenging because we needed to keep constant attention on the heavy traffic of tourist cars coming opposite direction, but everything was fine with no incident at all. With a slower pace, we reached the road, 1.5 km next to the small round about, where Al Badayer looked so different, cloudy and raining.

Some of the unknown adventurers where having fun drifting enjoying the mixture of rain and sand on road:omg: that make tires slipping... they were endangering others safety :dark mood:so be aware from such conditions.

I would like to share with you the funniest part which was my passenger, a first timer friend's passenger :want !:, she ate a heavy burger right before the drive, had dizziness pill 30min before drive, she was browsing her mobile and eating a lot of sweets whenever she is awake, yes because she fall asleep while I am doing side crests. Then she wake up and told me, "Oh that was a good power nap, I needed it"

I heard about dizziness pills giving sleep envy but, hey, we should not underestimate the comfort side of the FJ Cruiser? :005:
By the way when I saw Daggerfall video (thank you), I decided to rename my car and now it is officially "ChubbyPanda''

We always have fun with almost4x4 and learn from each others experiences, God bless this big family and protect this community.

Wishing you all the best and hope to see you soon.
