Thank you Almost4x4 for the event. For having a great drive. Even though I got sick. Still was one of the best tracks. For organizing the place. For food. And for bringing friends together. I got to see some friends that I didn't see for long time. Truly was happy for that. happy anniversary. Wish this club all the best

Hello, first of all I believe that the event was very well organized. There were a few reminders by mail and sms, so you could only miss it if you really wanted. I woke up 5.30 in the morning and reached the meeting point without rush. I brought with me little 'Happy Birthday' crown, but many confused that they thought it was my birthday. No - it was for the club. Everybody were split into 3 convoys of about 20 + cars with a good mix of long-timers and new faces. The convoys departed at approximately 9.30 am in the well known direction towards 2nd of December, then to cross E 44, stop for the prayer and continue to the venue which was opposite the Outlet mall. My convoy was led by Al Khatib, with support from RashidJass and Mazaaj. Understandably it was slower pace, but what was most surprising was very few problems in our convoy which apparently was in huge contrast to other 2 convoys. I personally observed only few second-tries, and if there were some stucks that almost went un-noticed. Well done folks! There were few clouds and even some water drops from the sky, but generally the weather was on our side. I imagined how it could be if it was the same sand storm as the weekend earlier. We reached the end and finished inflating at about 3 pm. All in all my convoy reached the venue about 1.5 hours ahead of the rest and some members who did not join the drive were already waiting there. Organizers tried their best to keep people entertained during the waiting time with band playing some rock tunes. Eventually the rest reached tired and somewhat puzzled. The competitions included the Karak Quiz where the older members and those who regularly join the events had the obvious advantage, tug competition (finally my gym exercise was put to good use as my team won). i especially liked the ladies round. Ladies are so adorable when they fight ...
The evening finished with the dinner, more prizes (note unequal distribution amongst the tables (I demand audit)), and recognition to members who contributed most to various club activities. All in long very long but memorable day. I got a bit worried when Bu Salem said in a closing speech "see you next year', but he quickly corrected himself to 'next week". Thanks to all.

Yesterday was a great day that showed us all how the Club can organise amazing events that make us proud to be members. It was good to see new and old faces, and we all thank the organisers for their time, effort and commitment.
‘GPS challengers’ was a fun and long mix of almost every terrain and type of dunes from egg-basket to high dunes and tracks. It was also a really useful reminder for me to check up on how to use my Garmin GPS. I know how to create a ‘route’ on the Garmin, but the only way I’ve found to input the coordinates is to over-write existing waypoints. I’ll have to look again at how to do this.
Mark B and I were asked why it had taken us so long to complete the course (getting in a 5.30); and it wasn’t that we got lost, or stuck too often, but I think it was simply both our inexperience in leading. When I analyse it I find that I’m extra cautious when leading. It’s very easy to follow, but picking a line, and thinking ahead is a particular skill, it’s difficult and absolutely exhausting!
See you all in the sand.

Hello every one
I would like to take the opportunity to express my great feeling to be amember of this:in love: wonderful club.
the event was really interesting and fun, me and family enjoyed alot.....everythings was well planned and organized , big efforts had been made to make it successful
Quiz and rope competeion were so funney and all guests were laughing and having fun......guestions in the quiz were in the hands of our team table but i dont know why we didint win
Maybe we dont have Marshals in our table loooool
......Gongrats for winners ...
Dinner was tastefull and fresh espically the Bamiya .....
we ended the party with prizes and particpation certifecates ....luckly my name was on the list
Regarding drive..this is first time my family joined me as passengers and my kids were laughing most of the time when the car dancing up and down among dunes
I was on the second convoy leaded by Khatib and Mazaaj and Rashidjazz Thanks Men....it was smooth and cool...we had no issues just few second tries
but in fact i wished that drive was shorter than that ....as really 5 hours driving with family is abit hard tired for them not me ....
....but luckly we reached the target on time 3 pm...
One more thing i guess if there was play area for kids it would be much better cuz some time the kids made little confuison at the hall
All in all every things was beatifull and amazing
Big thanks for Organizers, Marshals, Sponsers , Almosters.... espcially @alshamsi_m @elena @Melfi (jenny) , @momo... you efforts are great

Hi Almosters,
It was a beautiful day and very good organization.
Congratulations for the 9th Anniversary! It is a great club with strong philosophy and beautiful people. I am really looking forward to the days to come..
Yesterday, it was an easy CM drive but new lessons learned, like how to setup (or not to setup) a convoy :) .Importance of the Marshal in the middle and and how to request a "technical break" when the nature calls :)
Hope you enjoy the photos and video.
Best Regards

Dear all,
I was wondering how to organize an event having more than 75 cars? but with almost4x4 don't worry, they are the right club to have well organized gathering. it is the team spirit of all the club member, starting from the planners and marshals and end up with the drivers and their families. so we thank you all for this lovely anniversary.
The drive was very nice, and in some area we can consider it as 5- track. I really enjoyed the long drive time, because we are greedy to drive more, just like a vampire greedy for blood, but in the mean while i was worry about cars with families and kids, how they are surviving?!
The final destination, Qalet Al Rimal, it is an outstanding place with A class service and food. games and other activities were cool and they break the ice of the meeting.
There was some delays in the event, but according to the success of the entire event, so these delays are forgettable.
Last but not least, we can not escape the special thanks to our great ladies, elena and Melfi momo they were shining like stars.
Also special thanks to @ALKHATIB and @Mazaaj it was really cool drive.
also, congratulation for all CM who got their first star. Congratulation for all those who won prizes, and happy 9th anniversary, which to see more members next year.
Regards.

It is always a pleasure to be part of this family.
Reached the meeting point all excited for the celebrations and wondering how it would be like to see sooo many cars at one location carrying one logo "ALMOST 4X4"
It was indeed a great sight seeing around 80+ cars and almost 150-200 people all ready and excited for the long drive and the celebrations after that.
3 convoys with 20 members each + 2-4 marshals to guide / recover / control.
I was in Strawb's convoy. As it was a mix of experience in each convoy so it was understood that the drive would be a slow one. We had many stucks which were smoothly recovered by Yoghybear and other marshals (and most of the trouble was caused by members not following 2 simple rules A) Safe Distance B) When there is a stuck, stay in your position, unless instructed to move). Even with all those stucks and recoveries, the marshals stayed calm even though our drive took almost 6.5hrs.
YES some people did get irritated because of the number of stucks and stops... But hey... We all started that way... and take a moment to enjoy these moments remembering your beginning days and be happy of your achievements
After the loooooong drive we headed off to inflate and off to the camp.
It was a very nice setup and ambience with a lots of Gifts and prizes.
THANK YOU ALMOST4X4 FOR RECOGNIZNG US FOR THE RALLY MARSHALLING. IT REALLY MEANS A LOT
THANK YOU TO ALL FOUNDERS / MARSHALS AND MEMBERS WHO WERE INVOLVED IN THIS WONDERFUL ARRANGEMENTS
AND THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS WHO MADE THIS EVENT A SUCCESS.
I just cant wait for the next anniversary. You can imagine what it would be like when our family hits the 10years milestone
Till next time... tc n have fun

First of all thanks to everybody who has put a hand on the event from start to end. It was a wonderful weekend with full of sand (literally in a way) ending in a very nice place with all the big family and good food. I was so hungry when i arrived and the food was more than enough to refill my tank :)
Me and @Solmaz have participated in the GPS Challenge. All the route was amazing with all types of terrain, demanding every bit of skill you have. It was a good test of endurance and concentration. We started very good and got a good pace but after some time i guess by getting mentally tired, mistakes started to happen. Generally small stuff with some self recovery. I don't remember which point it was but i had a serious fall and a hard hit into a ditch. My arm is still aching due to the effect of the hit. We tried to get my car out with every possible mean which took like an hour under a harsh sandy wind but unfortunately no success. Thank god @Aemi and @bombays came along and offered their help and we were able to get out. After that, we tried our best to finish the challenge and did it. Yes we were late but happy that we managed to finish :) I loved the game so more events like this is more than welcome :)
Unfortunately we were a bit late to the anniversary event and missed the live music. Everything was very calm around with happy faces, games and good food... Nice to see the old friend bamya on the table :)
It was an honour to participate in the rally with our club and i am thankful for the nice trophy. It will always be a very important piece of memory in our house (actually two :) )
Congratulations to almost4x4 for their 9th year, wish more 9 years with lots of joy and success. Thanks for everything that we were and will be able to experience with you.
See you all soon again...
