Another wonderful event with Almost:ORLY:

I had really enjoyed a lot ..unlucky I didn't complete the game
Du to the stuck although I passed three point but when I almost got to forth
Point, I did lost the concentration between the GBS and dune in front of me

The car body got stucked from front and rear..couldn't go backward or forward
In spite of the tyres were free.but really was critical stuck and needs rescue therefore I'm out of the game:wtfsmilie:

Thanks Abu jimmy Rashidjass hocky Saeed for the rescue
Just imagine guys how was the situation Two marshals and two advanced members to make it
And of course thanks' to desert bat for his winch

The learned lesson is without good knowledge how to use navigation properly you won't make it
My mistake i believe I did not make zoom out when getting close to the point cuz It showed to me
I reached but indeed no...so I had change the route again

By the way all people in AL Lisaili area took photos for the stuck:grin:

After celebration with winners (congrats to Rita) we had nice grilling.
Many thanks to Duli family you feed us all man ..

At the end its a game and as bu Salem said

Being not completing the game doesn't mean you are not good driver
And Being first doesn't mean you are the best driver.

Last not least it was so fun and interesting experience
See you soon lovely Almoster

Cheers

well This was one adrenaline filled Egg Basket
However my adrenaline levels jumped when i was next and start point changed...... Based on what i saw last year i knew what was Shamsi's evil plan :D
Stopped a lil further from start point and i was golden :D
The drive according to me was fun and really focused on our navigating skills from differnet points while driving safely and not getting stuck.
Well at one point i kind of got carried away and ended up on someones property. Trying to get out of there i got in a situatuion were my cars driver side front tire is in the air free and the rest are ground and i was facing uphill and i couldnt backout of it cuz of a steel rod dug in the ground. (all this happened right in front of a cop ) the cop was a very friendly guy and was helping me get out of the situation however nothing was working . At one point i suggested to bend the rod and back out in 4lo as the car was going nowere except down (yay! Gravity) then came rashidjass and he onviced the cop to bend the rod and let me back out . You saved me a lot of hassle Rashidjass. Once out of that sticky sitaution it was a race to the finish line. The Wtf moment was when i got out at the finish line and was asked to present the egg which i received at the start point (i remember seeing the egg intact till the time i got in the car so i knew it was intact. I get back to get my egg and notice that the egg flew across from driver to passenger due to me shutting the door to hard (the egg was kept in the door pocket ) and it had cracked (tough luck) . I did find out things that i should work on (which involve keeping the egg safe at all costs). We were then served food by Duli and my oh my was the food delicious ! hats off to Mrs duli for preparing such amazing food. All in all got to know alot about my garmin device and how to operate it ,navigational skills and passing over steep dunes without getting crested .
Regards

Thank you Almost 4x4 for giving us the chance to participate in this adrenaline filled challenge. It was an amazing track and an amazing day.

Even though I did not make it to the finish, for which I was a little upset, due to being stuck in between a V shape dune while proceeding to the fourth point. I felt really happy seeing the smiles on the faces of all members enjoying the BBQ. It was a pleasure serving the second family from the first family and we are all glad that everyone enjoyed the BBQ.

Congratulations to all the winners.

C U all next time.

Tc till then

Thanks Abu Jimmy and all the helpers for a great Event.

i certainly learnt a lot about my Motion X on the iPhone. It is a very good piece of software, I've only ever used it as a route logger before, getting lost in the Dunes and following my nose has always been part of the fun for me. Now I know the capabilities better I will use it differently in future.

Since I last used this app Google maps had been removed, so I had no map to follow. However the compass bearing and distance were perfectly adequate today. There is a work round for this and I will be installing Google maps again shortly.

The Egg was a nice touch, I wasn't expecting that. As mine was intact at the end I can only assume at hard hard boiled in the sun!

Really sorry I couldn't hang around afterwards, hope to catch you all again soon.

Being the time taker in the start point was a chance to see the reactions to the new added "surprise" feature. It was literally egg basket this time :) I guess all the eggs were safe except one. Sorry for your egg @Defragmantor as it decided to fly from one side to another at the end.

I participated in the previous event and from what i see this time was more challenging with scrambled way points, softer sand (some points even hard to walk) and the egg.
I would like to congratulate all the participants and the winners. Even daring to do this and finishing safe and sound is a success.
Many thanks to @Duli and his family for the awesome post event feast. I should pay my respect to you also because you tried the challenge maybe with the hardest choice of vehicle. i am sure there were spots smaller than your truck.
Also i should say i admired @Mark B's effort when i saw how spent he was after the finish. That is dedication.
My personal congratulations with so much proud is for @Solmaz as she done the challenge successfully. Now we are a family who made the challenge both. Duru is remaining anyway but there is still some time for her.
One more thing...At the end when we decided to leave, i realized that i lost the key of my Jeep. At night on sand. When i said that i lost it, everybody took their lights and started searching around in an instant, @Hockey started to work on releasing the transmission from park to move the car in case of a recovery. Wow, that was really a big sign of being a family. I don't know how to thank you all enough. Thank god it was my lucky day, somehow @Solmaz, my life saver found it... and safe and sound we made home with all the spare eggs successfully carried with no cracks. It seems we will eat omelettes for some time :)

Thanks to organization and everybody who joined us for this awesome weekend.

See you in sand next time...
