Thanks DL for everything.
what I love about your style is you take your time to explain properly and give us chance to practice while you observe to give us your view.
amazing drive, amazing team, amazing group. did I say amazing drive?

Excellent fun (both driving and the play time humour!) , challenging and informative. We were so lucky to have a small convoy (in fact we were spoilt) by having just 4 Intermediates joined by 2 Advanced and led by Desert Lizard (DL) with Yoghybear in sweep.
There are of course different styles of lead and each presents different challenges and lessons. DL’s style today was fast, varied and with amazingly tight turns, which sometimes challenged the longer Xterra.
We had a formal buddy-system today, with a focus on the 2 pairs rotating position in the convoy. In fact we all did very well I believe; of course each making some mistakes, but generally able to deal with and correct them. For instance some areas of very soft sand led to some impressive loss of traction.
I really appreciated the ‘class room’ lesson, where we all spent perhaps ½ hour running through cresting theory, getting the correct climbing angles, and then practicing one-at-a-time, whilst the others watched and commented. Very useful.
Thanks to all the organisers for a great drive.

Today was indeed a nice day to play with a small elite team ! We had a good mixture of drive (different types of dunes), theory and practice which was really useful
Big thanks to Desert lizard and Yoghy for the marshaling and great advice

Dear DL, it was a big pleasure having you back with us in the desert.
The drive was really enjoyable, only one pop out and no stuck, all in all a great morning with nice people, actually I had a lot of fun!
Thanks to who joined this trip, sorry for who didn't.
See you soon in the sand.
Cheers

Hi Everyone
It was fantastic to join in the fun again.
DL you chose a great track. It was awesome to see you again and a great pleasure to drive in your convoy.
It started out with a nice warm up.... and progressed into some more challenging dunes.
There was a mix of big dunes, soft sand, small bowls, big bowls, nice flowing crests and sharp crests.
I think the drivers all did very well and being a small group, we progressed quickly with few issues.
The "Tech Session" was fantastic. We stopped at a rather technical crest and had the opportunity to do the run repeatedly, while being observed and critiqued.
It was a great learning exercise.
It was a great area to play in and i will be going back to play there again.
Thank you DL, Yoghybear and all the drivers. It was a fantastic morning out.
Regards
Paul
