Thanks Organizers, Marshals and fellow members for taking time out of your Valentine day for the sweet trip.

Trip started off at Al Badayer shops and was fast paced with only one short break at the pink rock. Although I don’t have enough experience to say that it is easier to drive on hard sand:blank:, I guess that no major stucks / rescues in today’s drive, was testimony to the point.

Climb at the pink rock was well executed by all drivers and was a confidence booster for me as well. :048::pride:

One of the many lessons for me from today’s drive was not to accelerate during descent on hard sand, which I was culprit of doing. Thanks Chief Bu Salem for pointing that out to the drivers.

I nodded vigorously when Marshall Desert Lizard mentioned at the post-drive meet that we drove criss-cross today; but honestly I still have not understood a bit of navigation during the drive and would not have known where to go if there was no car in front of me. I hope that this skill will come with time and experience. For this reason, I would like to call my drive “baby’s day out :innocent:– where experienced drivers saw the desert, I saw only the dunes".

Thanks again fellow ALMOSTERS for the trip and I look forward to hearing from fellow drivers.

I promised my kid if he completed his homework he will be rewarded to join me to desert and I did. Bad dad. Admin pls take serious action against the dad by not allowing him to join any trip without junior for the rest of his life ... Looooool

Best Valentines surprise ever!

Whoever was playing the Celine Dion though...eeek.

Still lacking confidence on the sideways dunes, but I am noticing some improvement. Gravity and I are finally starting to get along a little.
I also learnt some things about my cars "settings". Driving an automatic is still feeling a bit wrong to me, but thank you for the advice!

Thank you again Marshalls and everyone on the drive

I enjoyed this drive for its fast paced action, at least i felt it was fast paced.....great valentine date!

learned that we're (4x4s) are not the only ones who enjoy the desert, and i learned how to cope with others on the course (buggies, atvs, bikes, other 4x4s not in the convoy)

i also learned how to take it slow at the beginning to study the terrain and upcoming dunes

thanks to the marshalls, leader, sweepers, and participants!

really enjoyed the post drive tea and convo also, got to talk to alshamsi and desert lizard about the club and to strawb about the car (as he has a wrangler)

i'm also happy to announce that i bought the hi-lift jack today with a bracket to strap it to the car, a jack plate and i'm slowly reading its manual and watching videos online to learn it better. Waiting to purchase the viking kit + tools such as wrenches and stuff
