Obviously not for me, as Moby is not going anywhere, but my friend Romes (new CM) is looking for the following:
Bestop Supertop NX Twill foldable (tinted) for the 2013 2-door Wrangler
He's been to Off-Road Zone where he was quoted 6,500 AED yet he can find it online for 1,050 USD.
We all know how our gear is more expensive here than in Europe / US but does anyone know where else he can get it from, at a better price than the above quoted one?

I was looking at this option to replace my hard top to soft too for the JK but will it have huge impact for off roads (i.e. light weight since JK is heavier than TJ, center of gravity....etc) Jeepers who tried it .. can you advise please?

I have the Bestop Supertop NX (from ORZ) on my 2013 Rubicon 2 door. Paid around AED5500 for it, complete with the front windshield bar, rear trunk bar, window surrounds. I drive with it off-road in the desert - been on 1 drive with Almost, and 2 drives with EO, no issues. I'm told it reduces the centre of gravity and that it makes the rear light, but I've also been told to focus on learning to drive and to learn the characteristics of the JK. STRAWB also explained that the 2 door is more agile and a little more tail happy, which makes it fun to drive. Nothing right or wrong.
If anything, the 2 door JK is significantly lighter than most 4x4s out there, and given its power to weight ratio, it picks up momentum quickly but also loses it quickly, making it challenging to take on large dunes. The marshals have explained to me that nothing is impossible, and that if one way doesn't work, then learn to find other ways to get to the top :)
I also removed my rear seats (91 lbs, I'm told), and since I'm new to desert driving, it's a chance for me to learn this car without judgment.

I drove the JK with hardtop and rear seat and also with soft top (net) and without rear seat, to be honest I din't feel any difference, you have just to adapt your driving style on the new situation, a few tens of meters to understand and go, even if in my opinion the set up of the car plays an important role.
