Dear Vishal
This drive is not for the fresh people in this club ... so you should wait for club member drive ... even if you tried to register the system won't let you register. ..
See you soon in the sand
Mubz, Newbie+ means almost Intermediate. I think it depends on your skills rather than the number of drives you've completed.
Also, a Nissan/Jeep isn't a criteria for these drives. You must have seen what the MiniMe does Ma Sha Allah.
Skills, my dear Watson :059:
Hi Meddie,
Newbie+ I didn't know if it was almost intermediate as we dont have that category of ranking, sometime back before this awesome registration process was introduced we used to register with the Name, car, + number of drives
True its not about number of drive its skill but you dont develop your skill sitting at home and reading trip reports or watching videos so I want to be on a drive do develop my skills :)
The reason Chief said I should go for Club member drive is ( and I 100% agree with Chief) because I am taking new to be but an old peep for the first time in dessert and Honestly speaking I've never driven a peep before I always had Japanese or German engineering so its always recommended to go on a club member drive specially when you have been out of touch for a long time and you are still on learning curve and you have a new car to get to know and create that special connection between you and car. because club member trips are designed in such a way that you get to know your baby/ beast other than Sheikh Zayed road.
And yes you are right its not how modified your car is its about how modified the driver is and when it comes to guys sitting behind mimi me ( cheif / bu salem) there is no comparison.
but getting back to the topic ( dont want to hi jack the topic)
Thanks to marshals we have another trip for newbie +5 but still I am on waiting list hope I will get PM on Thursday :)

Mubz, you wrote, very nice words here about your feelings and about the club itself, and we all respect those facts. However it is always the sole discretion of the main organizer, whom to admit to the convoy. I think that in your case are talking some factors, why you were not admitted.
If you wish, you can call me and I explain you the details.

Thanks Chief, I will definitely call you tomorrow and we can discuss, and I agree 100% that its down to the organizer ( marshal) to decide who should or shouldn't join the convoy in order to keep the convoy of same skill level so that everyone can have quality time :) ( details http://www.almost4x4.com/vb/showthread. ... =tailoring) and I had this experience when drive was posted for 5+ and some of 5- joined and enjoyed the thrill :)
Will speak to you tomorrow Chief I need guidance to put things in right direction :)
