the minimum required lift height is half meter in front, and 3/4 of meter in rear :029:, to drive through
THANK you for for the quick advise Chief which was planned to be sought from you "dear Marshals" in detail soon. The car shall be admitted to Almost 4x4 carage sooner or later pending further advise on the materials compatible for the installation etc..

Almost4x4 Garage mainly role is for doing car repairs of off-roading cars and never will endanger any driver with improper modifications. If you require lifting, depends at the end only on you, they'll probably do, as they are profit oriented. We had many cases before, as the drivers were just stepping "I want, I want..." and after roll-over they never came back.
Almost4x4 Garage is not organizing any trips and is not in any case responsible for the safety of the convoy and the drivers in it. And I'm pretty sure, that you know who is...
I'm not saying, that you cannot modify your car in future, but at the moment, as your car is more controlling you, I wouldn't advice you to do any lifting. After I see your second star below your nickname, we can talk about it.

Sorry Humanfaith, I don't understand if you are kidding or not.....if your target is to learn how to drive in the desert improve first your skills and later on think
about the suspension, but not in terms of lift, but in terms of upgrade.....is not the same concept!!!
If you want to roll over quickly, go for 6 inch lift kit, and you are done.
Just for your info, I decrease the height of my car from 4" to 2.5" and believe it or not, now is much better, just to tell you that the height of the car is not
so important as may people think

I don't think so, that in your case, we are talking about chicken and egg. You as new driver to a desert, got a car that was built for a desert and definitely you are damaging the car and not the dune, as you have to learn the right way to cross it, without damages. Sand is soft and when it's rubbing underneath the car, it does not cause damages, when passing correctly, but the driver does, mainly when he is jumping.
Lifting make sense, only in rocky terrain, to pass through, and probably you saw many videos, when the guys rolled over in such a territory. When you see in a desert lifted cars with huge tyres, it's mainly for decoration only, to impress neighbors and girls around the living area.

HI,
Just to visualize what Capri is saying, thought i should share some pictures..In the below pictures it is very evident why big tires and lifting is popular in America. That is because of the kind of off roading they do!

Now below is a couple of picture of a Rally car being prepared for Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge if you notice it has a beefed up suspension but is restricted for height. The car will not be lifted and has also beefed up anti sway bar. This is what we need in the desert, not lifting but a stronger suspension. that too when one has the experience to handle it!!

Humanfaith - if it's any consolation, I have not modified my car at all (although added the skidplate too late). I am not interested in lifting or anything. I think I'm the one who has to be modified... :048:
[To those who want to start telling me stuff - I have heard it before, thank you. :033:]
