Another memorable trip indeed!
Started with a nice camp site, tents up and fire burning. Bu Salem takes out his new stove to make his healthy soup, Dastoori grilling like 15 chickens for everyone, then comes a cake for celebrating Mcap's brother's birthday...and end of the world (at least for the Mayans), and nothing better to get us through the chilly night than the famous Persian Beast tea :045:
Next morning started the Snake drive and tested out my new suspension kit, couldn't have enjoyed it more. New terrain as the sand was a bit wet. New types of dunes and ditches, and lots of lessons learned from Bu Salem, Se7s and Lambo. Thank you all for a wonderful time.

Said it right Nbaker! Another wonderful trip with a fantastic campsite location, the great food with a small session on the GPS enhancements followed by the famous chai by Persian Beast to keep us warm through the night.
The morning drive was an eye opening experience on driving in wet sand terrain. Some great lessons learned through practical experience. Thanks to all the Marshals for the fantastic trip!!!

Thank you to everyone for putting this trip together! Lot of fun, worth the 5am wake-up and drive up from Abu Dhabi!
Lots of lessons learned, especially about controlling speed when cresting :030:
Thank you Bu Salem, se7s, and Lamboo for guidance in our convoy, looking forward to the next trip.
Need a new skidplate. Thanks Nbaker for all the reminders :059:

Being a member of Almost 4x4 for more than 2 years ( well, the last 11 months as a dormant member), have realized that “Having Fun” is just an understatement.
Almost4x4 gives you a complete package of technical know-how of your car, new friends, warm and very courteous relations, amazing time and def the necessary skills required to tackle any dune in the world just comes as a by-product.
You guys make it so easy for any new-comer to just fit into the group. Everyone feels at home from Day-One . People join the group with a primary expectation to learn how to do “Dune-bashing” but what they get is much more than they expected.
There had been real bad days with a dozen stuck cars, a few pop-outs and rising temperature but I havnt seen Bu Salem or any of the other Marshals loose their cool. They have always helped the Newbies without any hesitation. The dedication these guys show week-after-week for the sport ( considering no financial benefit whatsoever) is absolutely amazing. Constant teaching, training and guiding the members irrespective of their stars at every step is something not everyone can do. I don’t think I can ever achieve this level of commitment.
You all are insanely in love with off-roading and your passion is just spreading across like wild-fire through the new and old members.
KUDOS to all of you and cant thank you enough.
Hope to become a regular soon….
