Good evening all,
How do you guys carry the petrol jerry cans in your vehicles? Do you bolt the holder on the inside of the vehicle or on the outside? In the Dubai heat, is it safe to bolt it to the outside of the vehicle? I have a TJ soft top, so roof rack is not an option.
Thanks :)

Many have jerry can inside, but it must be good metallic one. Plastic ones tend to leak.Aatif;17463 wrote:Good evening all,

I kept a plastic one inside my car all tightened up while driving. Used it only for long planned drives. I think it does not matter if kept in or outside as long as you empty the can after every drive into the regular tank. Do not keep fuel in it! Yes, plastic ones leak. Invest right away in a proper one!

Thank you all for your feedback. Much appreciated.bobpavan;17484 wrote:check this out...its fitted with 4 bolts
Bobpavan.. where could I buy the holder from, in Dubai or Sharjah? I have the metallic jerry can separatley but no holder. I think keeping it on the outside will save the tiny place TJs have on the inside, but look wierd when i'm using the jeep for onroad driving.. haha dilemmas galore :)
Do you use one jerry can or two... given the small petrol tank that the TJ has?
Thanks again.
