Hello Everyone

The cold weather is around the corner, so no need to wake up in the morning for early drives so the could be the last one of the summer vibe 😎.

The drive in general was nice but hard to find clean crests. We kept driving until reaching Nagra dune to find the entire offroad committee there grin

After that we had a smooth drive back to our starting point.

Looking forward for the camping season and far drives :in_love:

Cheers
Shamsi

Where to start with my report, I'm gonna back track one week to the previous weekend. It was exam day, I left the house early as I wanted to get to the area in good time. Stopped at Al faqaa to top up fuel and popped into the store to get some supplies. Came out the store and noticed huge puddle of oil under my car. I literally dropped to my knees and let out the loudest f@$k of my life. Why of all days this had to happen, some local guy saw my distress came over and offered to help me get a recovery. I don't admit defeat easily and set about checking the car to see if I could find the leak. Then one of the adnoc guys came out and suggested that I make a U turn and go to the Adnoc on the other side of the road. So I set of there and we took the skidplate and grill off. We soon found out it was just a hose from the transmission cooler. Cut the pipe shorter hoping I cut the bad part out but still leaking. Covered in transmission fluid I asked the guy can I please wash my hands. Then I spotted a piece of airline in the storeroom closely matching the diameter of the pipe I needed. I begged the guy to give me the pipe, he was nervous to give me it from fear his boss will make trouble. His kind heart gave in and we successfully repaired my car and topped up transmission fluid good to go. Let Marshall Rashid know I was on my way but slightly late. They kindly waited for me and I got to do the exam, unfortunately I never got my shot to take second lead so my result was inconclusive. The founder Shamsi sent me DM invite to retake this Saturday on the intermediate drive. Having had a taste of previous weekends test I was calmer and arrived 1 hour before the meeting time. Sat, chilled listened to some stimulating music. Rest of the crew arrived with lots of the older intermediates. Aljamhi gave me some great advice about the different styles of our Marshalls and founder have. And what to expect with the founder leading, he switches very fast indeed. David also gave a good tip to make sure when we got a break to adjust Tyre pressure or going to struggle at Nagra.

The drive was high paced, few second trys even from the older experienced intermediates. Finally I got my chance of second lead, Shamsi took some beautiful lines and I managed to keep up with him and clear the obstacles. One climb defeated me, tried twice but the pajero just didn't have the legs to do it. Drive completed full of adrenaline and now it was the waiting game for the DM if I passed or failed. Which came quite swiftly, just finished a recovery ride on my bike and got in checked what's app. There was congrats to the new intermediates on the group. Checked my DM and Ehab had sent me a message and I had passed. Few points for areas I need to work on but now the journey continues and I'm proudly writing this as an intermediate.

I cannot thank the founder, Marshalls enough for the time they invest into training us to be safe and handing down there skills. Without this it would not be possible to gain the 2 stars. Also to the other members for the commaradery and tips. Proud to be a member of such a great club and part of the sand family, it's improved my personal life as it keeps me away from temptation as all I want to do is drive.

Until next time can't wait to be back on the sand

Beautiful and playful drive perfectly lead by Shamsi in Sweihan.

It was both a drive and a exam at the same time for some interms that for one reason or another could not pass the weekend before. It was also the 1st interm drive for some of the new interm that had just earned their 2nd start the week before.

Since it was an exam Scorpio was positioned 3rd while Rashid, Ehab and myself observed from outside the convoy.

It was fun, it went well and I hope everyone in the drive enjoyed it.

To the new interms just to wish them loads of safe fun in the new level, stay focus, continue driving and you will improve fast and to levels that you could not imagine before.

See you on the sand soon.

It was a beautiful morning with pleasantly cool weather — the perfect start to the winter season. I was excited for my first intermediate drive, hoping the marshals would take it a bit easy on us for this initial run at the new level... though with our amazing marshals, nothing is ever guaranteed!

The drive began with an exam session for those who hadn’t completed their exam previously, led by Marshal @alshamsi_m . Marshal @Scorpio took position as the third car, and Marshal @Rashidjass acted as the swiper, following behind the examiners. then the newly upgraded intermediate, then theexperienced intermediates then the advance drivers.

The pace was fast and dynamic, featuring plenty of cresting, switching, and high dunes. It required full concentration and steady control to keep up with the convoy. The crests were mostly flat yet quite bumpy, making it tricky to maintain control — especially when climbing the high dunes. Nevertheless, I believe everyone performed well, particularly the newly upgraded members and the examinees.

We took a short break to enjoy some delicious watermelon, kindly shared by our dear friend @Mostafa , before continuing all the way to Nagra, where we paused for our second break. Afterwards, we made our way back to the meeting point to wrap up the adventure.

Congratulations to all the newly upgraded mates, and huge thanks to our fantastic marshals and explorers — @alshamsi_m , @Scorpio , @Rashidjass , @Ehab , and @David — for another unforgettable trip!

Hi Everyone
I find it challenging to fully articulate my emotions. The past week seemed to stretch from the moment I received the examination invitation until the congratulatory message arrived.
I had planned to arrive at the meeting location ahead of schedule. I prepared my vehicle and was ready to join the convoy.
Positioned as the third examiner in the convoy, I commenced the journey. Unexpectedly, my vehicle malfunctioned, bringing the movement to a halt, which was a significant setback oh noes .
Fortunately, I received authorization from @alshamsi_m to utilize @mrwkassem's vehicle.
Without hesitation, @mrwkassem generously offered his car for the examination.
The track selected by @alshamsi_m was exceptional and challenging, and all participants performed admirably.
I extend my gratitude to @alshamsi_m, @Rashidjass, @Scorpio, @Ehab, and @David for their support.
A special acknowledgment goes to @mrwkassem for his remarkable conduct.
See you soon in the sand.
