First of all I would like to thank everyone who attended this trip, and for the organizers for all of their hard work. It was an 8+ Trip, so the challenges were high. we climbed medium and high dunes at good speeds. I finally managed to break my rear bumper :pacman:.

I am sorry for all of the delays that we caused (Me and my pajero). There was one dune that my car just wouldn't do. I would be doing a circle to gain momentum and once I almost reach the top my car gets scared and just wouldn't accelerate more. Later with the help of zico he managed to take it from another route. leaving me to run through a bowl. Running in the sand is very hard, I understand now why we need larger footprint in the sand. :ORLY:

In the end I would like to thank zico, Abu Jimmy, and salhinai for all of their guidance, tips, and help. Also alshamsi_m thank you so much for the great route. it was really amazing. momo and Hockey Thank you for all of your help and support also ...

See you next weekend.

Nice morning trip, after waking up among fellow members in camping area.

We had a meeting at Nazwa shops first, then we hit the first dune at 8:10AM driving on top of small dunes where sand was a little bit wet.
We drove 1.5 KM deep in the desert parallel to the E44 from Nazwa till Badayer Shops then we changed our course South to start playing over the big dunes, deepest in the desert where sand was much more softer and challenging.

We took the high dunes chains one by one connecting them in a U shape track, which ends along the military camp then the gatch road. Our last challenge was a climb high dune right next to the iftar bowl where each driver practiced crossing a crest from the top. For some drivers new challenges came into consideration and few rescues were needed. But this how we all learn. And no one should feel embarrassed.

All in all the drive was smooth and interesting. The convoy shape was, in my opinion, very educational. So that the newbies are learning faster by driving with intermediates. And Intermediates are getting a great training for watching the convoy.

Here below are some click, Looking forward to read your trip reports and learning from your experience.

I would say that it was an amazing trip and we started on time.
We had one convoy which was lead by Shamsi, Abu Jimmy as sweep and Hockey zico for being floating marshals.
We started with small dunes which was our 'Warm Up' and moving to bigger dunes.
As far as i know we had 3 stucks (all crested) from which one was us and 1 flat tire.
It was a great experience driving high dunes after a long time and going to the top of bowl for the first time.

We learned a lot from the trip and hoping to see everyone in the upcoming trips as the season is already here.

Some good quotes by Shamsi was 'Be good to your tires, but not to your engine' and also
'Drive it like you stole it'

See you soon ❤️

Hey!!! I am ALMOST late to post this... anyhow ALMOST late is not TOO late so...

Every time I spend time with Almost4x4 Family I have fun, and every time I learn something interesting. THANKS to All for that!!!

Black8 was very nice... while it lasted... we had to remove Ismail AKA Smileys AKA Happy Car from the convoy due to my dear wife getting sick.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused...

I was so excited driving that I ALMOST forget one of the Golden Rules that alshamsi_m always emphasize on the 101 training for fresh newbies "what you bring to the desert you take it with you back home and that includes wife and kids"

What I normally do every day is: park the car and go & enjoy with my wife and what I ALMOST did the other day is park the wife and go & enjoy with the car...

:secret laugh::007::026::007::026::007::you're kidding, rig:in love:

Now I ALMOST forget to give BIG THANKS to Abu Jimmy, alshamsi_m, @zico, @salhinai, @momo, Daggerfall and last but not least @Hockey and his copilot for sending us safely back to the road 44, and for the tip with the motion-sickness "medicine" composed by 7Up + a sachet of salt, which worked well to have my dear Wife recovered quickly.

It was anyways a BIG PLEASURE to drive with you ALL who participated in this drive.

Good night and sleep well!!!

Iñigo AKA Arabasque
