This camp night was special for me as for the first time I saw 2nd December shop, with a little bit of creativity I guess this area could be a great spot for the next Halloween...:devilish:

Then we floored it to reach the camp area which is the middle height area of the pink rock, and we had a beautiful North East view, pink rock on our right hand side.

N.B. Summer is already there, don't be afraid like me to lower the pressure of your tires. On this camp night, I had 10 psi on all tires and it was good enough. The previous camp drive I had 14psi and I was digging while driving...

Here I let you see some pictures: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 21f3e920a8

Another beautiful and peaceful half-moon night at the Pink Rock
We took off from 2nd December toward our destination
I was third car after Abu Jimmy and MOMO
At one moment I was not able to see MOMO who was disappeared behind a dune and in the darkness I totally lost the track,
I used the radio to report the situation to Marshals, there was no response!!!
But Yoghybear was just behind me guiding me to drive backward and forward to get back on the track
I could hear all communications on the radio with some difficulty but no one answers my communications
After we stopped I discovered that the radio channel I’m using was not on 444250 (ALMOST 4X4 channel) but something close to that channel
Maybe the channel was changed when the channel button touched some object in the darkness
** My lesson that night: Always be sure that you’re on the right radio channel with the convoy
Nevertheless it was cool
See you in another ALMOST 4X4 camp soon

What a great night we spent on the Camp.
The location & the weather complimented each other so well.
Lots of offroaders passing by from there, and they kept us entertaining from time to time.
Overall a great night to remember, as I took my friend along, who was thoroughly impressed by the overall organisation and expertise of the Marshalls.

I had bit of a difficulty to climb with my X-Terra and there it was Abu Jimmy,
to resolve the problem and to guide me as I did not deflate properly due to faulty guage reading.
Was trying to attempt climbing with 20 psi whereas, it should have been around 10 psi.
Once Abu Jimmy deflated my Xterra properly, then it was just a piece of cake.

Thanks to you all...as always...you guys are amazing & indeed make a great company.

Look forward to hit the SAND once again ...very soon

Dear Desert BAT, sorry buddy the gap between us at that moment was not your fault but mine, I am the one who has to keep an eye behind me. But it was medium/fast pace behind Abu Jimmy and I was focusing on his track.
At the moment I was not seeing your light at all and thought to report it, Abu Jimmy and me were driving slow. I think Abu Salem said on the radio that we were fast and we have to slowdown.

I found that it is not easy to keep an eye on the mirror in the night while driving fast, because we need more attention to what is coming in front. So that was actually the real problem. It needs practice for all of us. But what I suggest for the next time, is that drivers should stick to the correct distance between vehicles. And when the vehicle in front floor it, it means the way is clear, then the vehicle behind should not hesitate to do the same.
At end what really matters, is that this kind of problems is not affecting our trips, and if they never occurs, we will never learn.

Another nice phrase:
there is sand in my mind

Dear MOMO,
No worries
Maybe I was slower than required
But as you said, that's how we learn and that is the experience
