Hi All,

heard about this club from a friend and after reading the many posts on here think i came to the right place.

Im a newbie, never driven offroad. Saw a Wrangler on dubizzle well modified and reasonably priced so thought why not. Tired of driving the beast (thats what my kids call it) on the road and am ready for some off road action (and training)

Just trying to get my kit together. I read on one of the forums that Dragon Mart is good for air compressors and hydraulic jacks. Can anyone give me a shop number i can go to cuz without same i would be roaming around like a headless chicken (that place is huge)

Hope to see you guys on the next trip.

Regards
Zubair

Hi Guys, i'm the newest member to the club, and wish to introduce myself. My name is Aslam (or Abu Yusuf) and I am an avid petrolhead. I have been introduced by Riaz J and met some of you at the Gulf news drive. I have done some off-road driving in the 10+ years I lived in Dubai. I look forward to learning a lot more and make friends with all of you. Looking forward to bringing my new FJ to the first newbie drive.

Lets start with intro. My Name is Kashif and I am eager to get my hands dirty quick. I have always wanted to try my hands at desert driving but never had the right equipment till now. I am joined in this by my two brothers Atif and Asif who would be joining the forum soon.

We just got new Wrangler and so logically the next thing we should be doing is find a trail and the search lead us here. We were lucky in that we found this great new car that the owner had modified to suit his desert needs but in the end decided to go for the Hemi option. So now the car outranks the driving skills of any of us and we are here to to learn and master the beast we have on hand.

Expect us to be those annoying newbie who will come up with loads of questions and will be present on every trip. Though fortunately for you guys, we are quick learners and will follow the instructions without any hesitation and we will come prepared.

I am sure it will be good fun so when is the Next Intro Trip
I see now how my brother spends his time at work!

Hey, I would like to introduce myself: Asif. I just recently moved back to Dubai after a couple of years abroad. Every day since I have moved back, the call of the desert has been plaguing my mind; day and night. Finally, the answer to the call is here in the form of a gorgeous Yellow beast that Kash just mentioned. Our own flying (rather, on wheels) pegasus.

As mentioned, our driving experiences are mostly road or snow which is quite on the other end of the spectrum. The desert has always been the unventured territory and hoping to change that with this community! Needless to say, we are stoked about joining this community and learning from every one out here.

Ill be reading all the popular stickeys and signing up for the trip alongside with Kash. It sounds amazing fun and looking forward to it. Feel free to drop by the yellow car anytime and we will greet you with a bucket of smiles!
