A trip level is always designed to the level of registrants, as we want to make it always interesting for the same level, there are no second or first class newbies. All Newbies are just as it says... Newbies. We are designing the trips always to drive the territory, that anybody in convoy can pass it and have the drive, not permanent pulling many out of the sand.

Club member:-

Any member register to the Club and didn't attend any club activity.*- generally has little/no experience of off road driving, specifically sand/desert driving- generally has little or no recovery/safety equipment*- upon successful completion of a club member /First trip the member is awarded their 1st star and becomes a Newbie.- a club member trip will introduce the member to the club and it's philosophy, have a detailed pre-drive instruction conducted by a Marshal who will demonstrate and explain the necessary recovery & safety equipment for off road driving. There will also be basic hints and tips on how to handle your car: eg, engage 4WD, explain difference between 4H & 4L gears, why & how to deflate your tyres ... etc

Newbie:-

member who has attended one club member trip- has decided to take his/her off road driving one step further- A typical Newbie trip will be a morning or an afternoon of easy driving. Members will have the opportunity to get stuck and watch how recoveries are safely undertaken.
