Salaam wa alakum!
My names Andy, my wife and children (daughters, 6 & 8) have recently relocated to Dubai (Jan 2012) - we all love the Desert and are keen to make new friends and explore the region to its fullest. i'm an ex soldier (British Army) and my wife is a nurse. I'm reasonably experienced in off road driving (though by no means an expert - and really looking forward to expanding my current skill set).
We currently have a Pajero and a FJ Cruiser. Hope to meet some of you soon.
Andy and Jane.

Wa Alaikum Assalam
Welcome on board Andy and Family.. You have just joined the Almost family where desert driving is a passion. The entire family will sure enjoy what Almost offers, and you can bet sand driving skills are the main event..
I also have a Pajero and an FJ, in addition to the desert dedicated Jeep. You will find the the Pajero is better suited for tarmac, and the FJ will be the fun machine.

I am re-using Caprihorse's link to point you to a summary of some very useful posts regarding the club and its regulations, preparation for desert driving, and some tips... Enjoy
