Hi there Ahmad4x4, you need to get the tools first, get assessed and get the Newbie rank and then you can join Newbie trips. Please consider how inconvenient it will be to every one when you are the only one without a Radio? The marshals will have to pay much more extra attention to you, and that is not fair to the rest. The Flag pole is a primary safety device, it does save people from many potential accidents.

Please don't forget a proper tire pressure gauge as well, getting a good deflator is a good idea too although not a must..

Thanks for your reply... I have been on a couple of trips with Almost 4x4 in the last 3 years and have recently re-activated my account (with a new nickname Ahmad4x4) and joined last week’s Ghazelle trip… I totally agree with u that I need to get the flag pole and radio (I have a tire pressure gauge) to safeguard the safety of all members… (I will try my best insha Allah to get them tonite after work)

I was hoping to be able to join tomorrow’s trip to gain experience and enjoy the fun ride with the members :)

hi marshalls, just wanted to check something....in the trip info it says "before the trip we will check all drivers" but from what i remember, newbie 5- are not required to have all tools, is that still the case?

i hope so because i really want to join this drive and unfortunately still haven't gathered everything!!
