Hello All
My name is Paul, living in Dubai for last 5 years with wife and 2 young boys. Have done a little off-roading and wadi bashing but this is my first time in a club. Looking forward to joining on one of your desert trips.
Used to have a Wrangler and now with new Grand Jeep Cherokee

Welcome Paul. Keep an eye out on the Newbie and Family trips forum for a Club Member drive. They are normally run on a Friday and only posted once or twice a month so keep your eyes open for that. It's a great introduction to the club and gets you promoted to "Newbie" level once you have acquired the necessary tools which is also listed on the forum. You will be briefed at the Club drive on what and where to purchase the recovery equipment. Once a Newbie there is a drive posted almost every weekend. Camping trips are also posted which the kids may enjoy too.

Hello uaeukid. I'm wondering how the others will call on you over the radio with this nickname. :pacman: Maybe you can think to change it. To

Hi All,
Its really good to know that a forum like this exists in UAE, I am new to the country and have been aspiring to go dune bashing some time soon however I have no experience in driving in the dessert. I look forward to know how do I get started with this club.
Cheers

Thank you Caprihorse, actually i was encouraged by you and finally bought a Pathfinder, i have it since 2 days and i will dedicate it for the desert :-)
But it has 245 / 65 R17 instead of 275 / 70 R16 and i hope it is okay for the first trips, and a Skid Plate is needed too.
I am enjoying the infos on the forum and cant wait to learn more from the Almosters personally.
