Name is Khaled just signed up on this forum. Have a nissan xterra and hopes are that I improve my desert skills with the club. especially navigation skills after I get through the basics. Will sign up soon for some outings (as soon as Im back in dubai that is). Until then I suppose.
Now where on this forum do I find other people with xterras?
thanks,

Hey Zenith,
Can you tell about recovery points on the Xterra? do you have steel bumpers installed or do you use a hook directly on the chasis?
btw just found out that there is an almost4x4 garage in Sharjah. seems quite nice to have a garage with the name of the club. maybe should pay them a visit next time.
I'll be sure to meet you when I'm back in Dubai.
Sand Pit
Hey Sand Pit,
On the rear I'm using a hitch similar to
this and on the front just the stock hook. Could do with something on the other side as well. Any questions send me a PM.
Take care

Hi Almosters,
Sam here.
I am a newbie, living in Dubai who has just joined the group and have recently purchased a Fortuna with the intent of off road driving. Have been into the sand dunes a couple of times with my old pathfinder when I lived in Qatar; however, I consider myself a complete beginner.
Looking forward to the next club member drive to get involved in and learning how to drive off road and set up my car properly!
Have a nice weekend all!

hello all.
abdalla in the house, driving patrol99, I'm from kalba city I'm crazy about 2 things " driving on sands & fishing " I see my self as a pro in sands but in one point we all are beginner for the nature of the desert, I joined the club for
1- have fun
2- to get more experience
3- meat new people
4- group ride and activities
but the main reason is if I stuck I don't have to call 112 asking for help then witching my pic in first page of newspaper lol, that's why its good to be with group.
will see you soon in sands.
