Hello there,
Joined the Club recently and new to Dubai and driving in the sand. Lived out in Borneo previously, where it rained frequently and mud was the issue and where 4wd's are part and parcel of "the interior" transportation, and are all modified to cope with the conditions. Recently completed a Desert Driving Course to appreciate the differences (many!) and have also found the 'The Most Important Articles at the Forum' a great source of information as well.
We have already completed a number of exploratory drives to Khasab, Liwa and the east coast, but not yet ventured off road - looking forward to that!
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Bonno and welcome to our Club. Wow, such a waste of time and money to attend this driving course. Wait until you join the first trip with us, to see the real difference, what does it mean real off-roading in sand dunes.Bonno;32110 wrote:Hello there,

Caprihorse, Not entirely a waste of time and money, I did learn a lot, however it did fall short as there was nothing about vehicle recoverycaprihorse;32111 wrote:Hi Bonno and welcome to our Club.
