Actually, what I read from here, our group (Newbie++) got the best what they could get, full morning of driving and driving with ZERO-1 getting stuck and pop-outs. Almost ideal drive, changing the second lead frequently, to get the feeling of not hanging on the bumper, training the crests from left or right or climbing the tops between Big Red and Pink Rock. The experience was as good as we we should repeat many other times. I would like to thank all participants for their excellent contribution - Madlen, Sarookh, Samr1, Fadi, Mohktar, Faisal and Alkhatib for excellent lead. Keep this day in your memories.

Silvester... i got mine fixed (not from Izmail though).
It turned out to be only the transmission oil seal for 4x4 and got it fixed in 15 mins (much to my relief :)
There is this one workshop i found who is Nissan specialist. all the ra-ta-ta-ta shababs go to him ;)

now coming back to the NEWBIE ++ trip...
When the marshalls, Al Khatib and Silvester decided that it will be close to intermediate trip, i was really happy and excited. We started off with the first dune up and came down took a turn and up again. Now this is where my heart started beating as it was my first time driving on this kind of route, to be honest first 10 minutes were really scary as i wasn't expecting it to be like that. Basically i wasn't really mentally prepared for it. Then we stopped for samr and silvester to catch up, i used this time to retune myself, deflated the tires further more by 2-3 psi and said to myself YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT, C'MON YOU CAN DO IT...
Once the convoy started moving again I was back in my game, feeling confident and my truck was doing great too. The whole way we kept on changing the 2nd place so that each of us get's the chance to feel the pressure and practice driving on that position.
We didn't had any popout's nor stucks so the pace was really good. We almost practiced all kinds of maneuver and techniques as Sam mentioned and all of us were upto the task. Bravo to all of you guys (Medlen, Sarookh, Sam, Fadi and Mokhtar)
Al-Naqbi kept on showing up after like every 30 mins. I guess he was sweeping the whole badayer desert :005:. Good guy and a great Jeep.
We ended the tip on top of dune opposite to Badayer shops. Where Al Khatib gave us the permission to play for some time, so everybody came down and lined up to make it to the top of the dune. Everybody made it to the top except me :016::036: I tried every way, even in reverse but couldn't make it to the top... so i just said to myself NEXT TIME :) I was depressed and i guess this is where my transmission started crying.
The adrenaline rush was so high after the drive that i wasn't feeling stressful/tired even after having a cold, uncomfortable night in my car. But when i got back home i hit the bed and woke up after 14 straight hours of sleep. Last time i slept this long was 5-6 years back :)
All in all a greaaaaaaaaaaaat trip, thanks to Al Khatib for great lead and amazing route, Thanks to Silvester for being there with his ever watchful eyes making sure nobody is having trouble. Thanks Medlen, Sarookh, Sam, Fadi and Mokhtar for great company and above all Thanks to our beloved ALMOST 4X4 :045:
