For me, it got my fear out. Though I would go on many trips, but the course really helped me to be more confident and get my fear of the dunes out - So I would highly recommend it.
I fully agree with capri, from my point of view its only pulling money out from you without logical reason.
you can learn much more driving with off roading club and specially almost, i have witnessed a guy wspent around 4,000 DHS to get such course and when he was driving with us he was within newbie level.
