3 months before i tried for a hilux pickup in my personal name from al Futtaim-Dubai, they informed me that expats cannot own a pickup in personal name:012:. But expats can register the pickup under the name of a company(any kind of trade license if you have). this is applicable for toyota Landcruiser pickup. I dont know with in this three months the rule have changed or not. I think steveegge there will not be any issue as he and his vehicle is a visitor in UAE.
