Hello Everyone,
Sorry for late trip report, quite busy days didn't let me to express this wonderful trip.
Plan was clear, @Solmaz wanted to scout 3 beloved and recently destroyed areas to check the condition if the desert dressed it's wounds or not. Nahil, Old Sweihan and Remah.
As fresh interms, we heard a lot about these areas and been passenger on some drives around those but we hadn't have the chance to really enjoy them due to this seismic research excavators.
It was time to check on them if they would recovered and would accept us.
Drive started with Nahil, @Solmaz gave us a great track full of side crests, convoy started to warm up slowly. It helped me since I was feeling a little rusted and few dunes took over the rust and sharpened the skills quite fast. It is always hard to see the amazing dunes on your side but you need you need to cover a long distance so you stop playing with them and by-pass. In those moments I feel like a little puppy whose toys are taken away from him. Anyhow, good news Nahil is nearly totally recovered and Dear Marshals, now we can explore the area in deep detail
Then we reached to Old Sweihan, I had a chance to drove in this area just before they destroyed and I knew how beautiful the area is. Big bowls like coliseums where the gladiators try to show their skills! Some of them quite bouncy on top
.
We had a lovely morning and we were only these two areas. Several fellows had commitments for the afternoon drive thus they needed to leave. Hats off to the commitments guys!
Then we had a quick break to have a lunch and let the sun go down a little to start having some shadows on the dunes to be able to read them properly.
The next plan was to cross the farms on the south side and try to explore the chain over there. Which we learned that @Mabubaker already took the convoy to there along with @presa in "La casa de papel" drive. The first area we entered just after crossing the farm was quite technical and bushy in mean time. It wasn't a great area. However later on, closer to the E16 Sweihan road, we entered to a quite interesting area. However, the sun was behind the convoy and reading the dunes were quite challenging. We noted down the area and continued to see Remah. @Solmaz looking forward to your next drive in this area
.
Then Remah, lovely area. Not totaly recovered yet but I guess in a months time all will be good. @Solmaz still managed to draw us a fantastic route and hats off to my fellow interms we had a fluid Remah experience. Was loads of fun.
Thanks to @Mabubaker for looking after us and showing up after a long drive from Oman. You can see that, the area is his backyard and he knows all the enters and exits like the palm of his hand. So the question is when you are inviting us in your playground?
Thanks @orlantsev for support.
Thanks to @David for sweeping and bringing the knowledge and experience of previous batches to the convoy along with @Tomvanhouten and @mpodroid.
And big thanks to my fellow intermediates @Lenny, @osman(welcome back with the new car), @Stephan, @Ehab (voluntary second lead and great dancer), @Laarni (great drive girl!), @AndreAJ (welcome back! you recovered quick and didnt loose your sharpness!), @CARLOSS (big smile)
and @NahorJP(eager to get the second lead seat).
Nice to be on the sand and see you soon!
