Hi All,
it was great driving in that area with its fabulous virgin sand and mixed of sharp dunes.
During the main briefing done by @SINGH (the organizer) he advised that there will be 2 convoys, one will be lead by@SINGH and the second by @presa. I was part of the second convoy, during the convoy briefing press advised that explorers (@Mabubakr &@giorgio will be leading with 30 min rotation. @SameRaptoRed was the second lead, @orlantsev & @Issa can float and @Rooies , @osman , @mpodroid , @Alexandre and I were part of the convoy.
In general the drive was going smooth with couple of second tries, self recoveries and few stucks. It was advised that the car that is doing a second try should go to the back of the convoy ensuring that the convoy won't stop, so that helped keeping the drive smooth.
During the drive there were couple of ditches directly after the side crests that was a bit challenging to exit them without damages or popouts, and the good thing is that all drivers exit them safely. The dunes were extremely nice with some soft spots give us a feeling that the car is getting sucked down. It was amazing keeping up the high speed during the drive and cracking on the big dunes smoothly.
I am glad that I joined the Insanity Drive as we really had a lot of fun, thanks @presa @giorgio &@Mabubaker and all other members for the drive.

And it was insane
We met at the meeting, went through the normal drills, then @SINGH said we will hold the brief inside. There was 2 convoys, I was in the one being led by @presa with @giorgio & @Mabubakr will take turns leading the drive. @Issa & @orlantsev was floating & keeping an eye on us.
@Mabubaker started off the drive & I remember the
on his face...
, second lead was @SameRaptoRed & i was behind him. I think I remembered @presa still saying we can start slow the build up, but @Mabubaker must have missed that part
(me not complaining), we were "flying" over the first few dunes, side crest, criss cross, side crest, small climb, side crest.... I could see @Mabubaker was enjoying himself. There was a few big gaps in the convoy in the beginning, so we stopped & regrouped again.
Next up was @giorgio , he was also not holding back. Up & down, criss cross, side crest. @KIMOz was behind me & I apologized to him after the drive for not making it easy for him, I drifted a few times down the dune & saw @KIMOz following me.
@SameRaptoRed had two stucks, but did very good self recoveries
. Somewhere during the drive @Alexander said his Jeep lost some power, the Jeep specialist assisted him & not long we were back having fun.
Eventually @presa said that we need to head out as it was time to end the drive
. I went over the dune & barely missed the ditch, but "gently" hit the next one, in my rearview mirror I saw @osman coming over & hitting the ditch very hard, so hard that his back wheels picked up off the ground, for a split second I thought he was going to roll over, but the jeep fell back & he was ok. Luckily no serious damage to his car.
We headed to the powerlines where we met up with the other convoy. We continued to the flat area where we inflated, greeted & headed home.
Thank you @SINGH for organizing the drive, @presa , @giorgio & @Mabubaker for leading & doing an awesome job
. Thanks also to @Issa & @orlantsev for keeping an eye on us. Also thanks to all my inter buddies for making the drive super nice, no major stucks or big issues.
Till we meet in the sand again, stay safe.
Greetings

@SINGH did a great choice by selecting Nahil area for this drive. Drivers could taste a wider range of dunes formation.
I took the opportubity to lead the opening part of the drive, with @SameRaptoRed on 2nd lead position while @presa and @giorgio supporting. This part was mainly about precision, the dunes were medium to small size, BUT with sharper crests which makes it tricky to concur. Driving in such terrain trains the drivers to handle suprises and obstacles that may happen in the higher level drives with mega dunes and sharp crests.
At this point, the intermediates were ready for @giorgio part, by going deeper in this area, dunes gets larger and @giorgio didn't want to leave any crest behind.
My second part came where side crest combos action introduced. Drivers did relatively well with some second tries and recoveries, but marshals were able to spot some drivers not keeping a safe distance which is crucial in such drives.
After @giorgio second part, @presa took over for the closing section, it was obvious drivers started to feel tired so @presa decided to head to the exit.
Finally, thank you @SINGH for organising this trip.. thanks @presa for the opportunity to lead and to all the great company.
Thanks,
M Abubaker
