Santo, only 1 CM drive is counted when working out levels. The one in which you got your star. So...you only have 2 qualifying drives.santo_the_bong wrote: Mon Feb 04, 2019 12:58 pm Cool!!! Then I have exactly 5 drives so far... 4 CM and 1 Newbie...

Which car are you driving?
I have done a few CM drives last year, but did not get my tools in order earlier... I was just trying out this new hobby and now that I really like it, this year I got everything in place and got my first star...

Good morning all!
This will be my first time using GPS coordinates to navigate by myself and I have a couple of newbie questions.
1) What format will the GPS Coordinates be given in?
2) Will the coordinates be given in order or do we choose which one to head towards?
3) Also....what are the recovery rules? (Asking for a friend)

Hello Haani,
To answer your questions:
1) The gps co-ordinates will be in the usual format that we use in the club ie.
N00° 00.000' E00° 00.000'
2) Wait and see
3) Wait and see - remember no passengers for participants
Regards,
Booy

1) The GPS coordinates will be given in the standard longitude and latitude format which is compatible with any kind of GPS device like Garmin and also compatible with all sorts of navigational apps.
2) Everytime we have an event like this every competitor is given the coordinates of the all checkpoints in a random order but the competitor has to follow the order of the checkpoints that has been handed over to them. This way every competitor has to find his own path (pun intended grin )
3) In our last event if a competitor successfully self recovered himself or by the help of other competitor then it was fine but if the recovery was done by a marshal or any of the supervising drivers then the competitor would be disqualified. These were the rules of recovery for our last event, I am not sure about this time though and you will have to confirm with the organisers.
Hope that helps and see you on the sand.
