Almost4x4

Hello Everyone

this time i joined the CM drive as an intermediate, remembering the time when i did my CM Drive.

its summer time and temperature was showing 47 but it cant stop almost 4x4 to have fun. being off roader get ready to experience anything during expeditions. Psmiley .

we had the breifing from daggerfall and then shamsi divided the members in 2 convoys. i was with booy. we had the few second tries and crested cars but this is normal in the CM Drive. very important is the radio communication and keeping the right distance.

As daggerfall said in the drive briefing it is normal that the Tyre pressure will go up after sometimes and after 45mins we have to check the Tyre pressure. similarly Shamsi told us to feel your car so its the driver who have to feel the change in your car and have to have this habit for future drives that if the Tyre pressure increased you will feel the difference in your car or climbing up the dune and crossing the crest how much speed you should maintain to cross it without flying and being crested.

everyone in the Booy convoy did a very good job. wish you all good luck for future drives and hope to see you all in the coming drives.

The even took place on the 22nd of June 2018 on a very dusty day in the deserts around Maliha.

The first person whom I talked to when I arrived was Al Shamsi and he advised me to drop the tire pressure to 13psi. I was surprised then because in my inexperienced head, that meant an imminent pop out. Later I came to find out that it was the norm and I would need that low pressure for optimal traction in the dunes.

The event kicked off with a brief introduction of the crew and the marshals by Al Shamsi and that was followed by a thorough talk given by the resident expert, Daggerfall, which gave the club members knowledge they'd need to take on the challenges of desert driving.

It was my first real offroading experience apart from hill climbs up Big Red Dune in Badayer a couple of times

I learned so much, for example, how to prevent cresting (after 2 consecutive crestings), how to use my radio but more importantly, my family and I had an amazing time with some fantastic people.

I'd like to take this oppurtunity to thank all the marshals and the whole crew for taking the time out to teach us beginners and welcome us into the Almost 4x4 family.

I hope to get to get to know all of you much better with many more drives and would like to once again thank you all for the warm welcome.

it was a hot summer day .. i arrived late to the briefing as i had a guest with me who delayed me =B
i joined Booys Convoy and i was sweeping at the back. generally the drive went very smooth. we had a number of stucks which is normal.
it's really remarkable to see new family members joining in summer despite the extreme hot weather.
thanks to all the marshals and the support group.
