I really enjoyed this event even it was hot.
the best thing is when I arrived and I sow everyone was smiling and happy and in high spirit. you have no idea how joyful it was.
I sow @mazaj and @khatib leading the convoy safely and properly to the rally, Thank you.
hats off for everyone in the group I was in
@MOMO
@Oxana
@margarita
@bombays
@Mark B
did amazing job.
what was amazing was we had no idea what to do and where to position, and how to communicate before we get there. but everyone placed them self in there right spot without anyone telling them anything like we were born naturally to do this.
Like @MOMO said, Civilian cars, pedestrian, police car, buses, pickups and mosquito actually crossed over. and we all made sure rally friends were safe.
The police was asking me if he can join the rally, I think it would have been more motivation for other drivers to drive faster once they see a police behind them.
The bus was trying to run me over in case you dint know, I had to give him my evil look for him to take a hard brake.
I have to admit, I did cause a problem, I told the Mosquito to cross over and a biker was actually crossing too. all I sow was :onthego: squish on the bikers helmet.
when the event was over, I managed to rescue three cars, one didn't want to deflate, one his 4w stopped working, and some guy and a 4 tired bike were both stuck in middle of desert. I'm sure they were happy to see a stranger.
see you guys in next event, and keep up the high spirit :D

Well for me it was a totally different kind of day and experience. The day was hot for sure, didnt have much work to do either, but lots of learning and really enjoyed the day. Got to know some friends better like Bambam, Andre, Duli, Sham, Arun etc since there was lots of time to chat.
The tally Marshal badge and EMSF membership shall be the icing on the cake.
Thanks Almost4x4 for bringing this new experience to my life!
Cheers!

Reached from Amman ( Jordan ) on Thursday evening , having only 4 hours of sleep on the last 72 hours I was starving for some rest and a sufficient amount of sleep , on the other hand I didn't hit the sand for the past 35 days . It was an easy call , Join the Rally and you can rest later ..:ORLY: . Had loads of things to do , so I end up with 2 hours of sleep ..:TT TT: before I reach Emarat petrol station on Dubai Al Ain road to refuel and join the convoy .
It was by far the best Rally I have been to among them all ( 7 rounds in 3 different Rallies ) by the means of organization and safety . The organizers had 2 large caravans powered by electric generators as a headquarter and command post , drinks and refreshments catering , mobile toilets and other convenient facilities . Safety was on top measurements . Civil defense had a 4WD fire truck ready and a swift action Xterra , paramedics rescue Tahoe and an ambulance . There were two accidents of bikers falling down from their bikes which were dealt with professionally and swiftly ( one of them had to be taken to the hospital with minor injuries ) .
Although I have marshalled a few rallies earlier this one was different as I was marshalling in the pit lane and supervising the refueling process which turned out to be an interesting and joyful mission ( with lots more to learn about rally policies & procedures ) . By the end of the Rally we had the chance to meet the legendary " Mohammed Bin Sulayem " for a greet and small chat .
Special thanks to all participants for their outstanding performance on this special event ....

My second time Marshalling and a completely different experience. First of all, it was in the daytime! Anyway, as Dave has already said, we were at Moto 1, with Sacha, JT, Yoghy and Zorro, assisting Alan and his wife in their role of point safety and recording passing traffic. It was fast an furious on the first lap as the 100+ KTM, Husqvarna, Yamaha and Kawasaki bikes, as well as a handful of quads, went past. It was extremely hot, even at 10am, and all respect to those riders who kept on going lap after lap. The fours of us Almosters did a lap after the race had finished, along the bike track then part of the car track - very difficult terrain for two wheels and challenging for four. Great adrenaline rush to finish the morning.

Thanks Jeremy for posting some of the pics...
Although I didn't officially enlist, I attended as a passenger with Sacha. It was definitely a good time! Had a really good time hanging out with the team.
Here is a little teaser I shot.. lol More video to come.
