Rescue The Marshals
Well ....all of the main highlights of this drive (better to call it as a training drive) have already been explained above by our fellow almosters....but it was indeed a very informative drive where we have learnt a lot.....
Thanks to Abu Jimmy, Khatib, Yoghy, Strawb & Bu salem (sorry if i missed someone) for arranging this session....and this shows how deeply our marshals go into the details. Starting with the how to fix the pop, followed by demonstration from Khatib detailing the importance of accessing the situations, pulling angels, towing points and how to handle the rope.....it was amazing.
Whole and sole it was not only to make their almost family members capable enough to handle the worst possible circumstances, which are bound to come when you are driving the deserts but to understand the importance of safety and how to deal with the situations safely with the best possible way.....
The second part of the drive was amazing....really fast paced drive with climbing to some high dunes and lots of technical crests....all the drivers must have had great fun and learning experience and made it safely to the badayer shops.
Once again thanks to all the marshals + intermediates for giving us newbies a great learning experience and assisting us to learn the techniques practically.

Good detailed reports from other members, little to add apart from another example of the true dedication of our founders and marshalls to help us all learn about the skills, techniques and most importantly safety when driving in the desert. It is amazing how difficult it is now to get stuck on purpose, the Almost way has flicked an internal switch somewhere which almost prevents me getting stuck now!! Ginger - a very entertaining one on one we had, thanks Mazaaj for the local coaching. Without doubt, the best place to be on a friday, in fact anyday in the desert, is with our second family. A few pictures I took, video to follow later.
