Me and Nijo joined Taurus and Singh at the ADNOC petrol station in the morning and we headed towards the camp site. We were in 5+ convoy lead by Strab and Abu Jimmy, Hamdan and Hocky. I had only 5- drives with the club hence I was a co-driver of Nijo. It was a great experience for me. I had read posts about pop outs. In this drive we had 2 Pop outs and learned how to fix the pop outs. The second pop out was in a pit. At that time I saw the senior most members have no problem to get their hand dirty. They helped us to fix the pop outs. Thanks to Abu Jimmy, Tariq, Hocky and some other fellow members (sorry getting familiar with the Almosters…). We had few arches also. Abu Jimmy was explaining how to get the full arch. Once again thanks to all the organizers and the members for making the trip successful. We are Looking forward for more trips with the club.

First of all, sorry for the delay with the report.

This was my first drive after a 3 weeks break. I arrived the previous night for the camp :2 z Z: and as always was nice to be with friends for a BBQ. To be honest I was expecting a lot from the drive, and I was not disappointed . Really nice drive with minor incidents, all of them solve very quickly.

Strawb was leading the 5+ group with Abu Jimmy sweeping and taking care of us. Since Strawb became Marshal, all the drives I did with him were simply amazing, sometimes on the previous ones the level seems to be a little bit higher than the group skills and that leads to some frustration, but that's the way to learn... keep finding our limits and improve our skills. I was the second last on the convoy so I didn't see the drivers on the front all the times, but based on what I saw on this drive from my position, I think the drive was 100% adequate to the drivers group as everyone deal with the dunes on the right way.

Unfortunately we didn't see the crocodiles, maybe next time will be possible.

Thank you very much to all Marshals for the nice weekend, hope to see you soon.
