We won't be crossing the actual border between UAE and Oman. There's a small stretch of Omani territory, Wilayat Mahdah, where you have to show your UAE ID or passport to the UAE Border guards to ascertain that you are a legal UAE resident.
This procedure was set up to check the illegals sneaking into the UAE through Oman.

Is hatta pools in UAE territory or Oman what I know it is in Oman territory plz correct me if I am wrong..
